Perhaps just words of literary device ... divisiveness? Crackling's ...

What exactly is a device that functions on literature of alien origin? An initiation ...

Will it wash, etc.? Imagine the extract ...

Sounds dark and abstract to me as I didn't know! Can a listener dream this matter up? As declared before by a large number: "He knows nothing" so there ... I remain vacant ... but obviously an open domain ... like a side line of down hilling ...
Yeah right…you didn’t know. That sounds like a lie to me. You know what you’re doing.

What I know? Jeez there's an alien comment as I've been told I'm stupid all the time ...

Perhaps because of the thought process in an emotional world?

Is a literary device something that can squeeze something of value out of a passionate domain? If so one wouldn't dare speak about it as it was meant to be humble and just ... 2 out of 3 ain't bad since kindness just doesn't work work in a dimension leaning towards hard to teach. In myth it is said that myth is the only power that penetrates there where the lyre overwhelms ... it is like the Campbell against the Donald's ... dead ringer eh?

Precis ... "you don't want to know that" ... is often what we're fed and we suck it up ... nothing is any more complex that that device! Is is also very hard to learn about ... painful even!

Perhaps kindness doesn’t work if you can’t muster it, making you not an effective teacher of knowledge. If you push pain on kind people already in pain - to teach them something they already know (the world is hard and people are shortsighted) - you might just destroy them - and if that’s your intention whatever you are trying to teach is not worth learning.

Tough love was an 80s thing. It was never a good idea. Did more harm than good, I think.

You’re definately not stupid. There’s more information in your brain than a delux set of encyclopedias. Wise? I’m not sure. If you can change your approach, perhaps.

Tough love was an 80s thing. It was never a good idea. Did more harm than good, I think. It was a rebranded approach to ancient bad parenting that placed the fault on the recipients if it continually made things worse - a popular form of abuse. The giver didn’t have to accept responsibility or change anything if it wasn’t working. They were doing the right thing because self interested pop-culture encouraged it. There are probably a lot of damaged people as a result. It’s not a lot different from your concept of learning.

But revenge isn’t justice either. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

The point being that the PM is more interested in supporting other countries while he quietly sells us out.

Who is “us” that you are referring to? A particular us, or everyone?

Not sure why you decided to derail this thread into a LDS as in Luce Derangement Syndrome (not Latter Day Saints) thread - but given that I opened the thread may I respectfully request that you get back on track with the opening post.

Will it wash, etc.? Imagine the extract ...

As I see it, we are called to love our neighbour. All of our neighbours. And not our Canadian neighbours more than our Ukraine neighbours. Or in fact, our Russian and Chinese neighbours and even those crazy feckin' Americans. And people who don't talk or think the way we think they should. And disliked sibllings.

To this day, I suck at predicting what people will laugh at.

I feel like I have the mods convinced my report of Mendy's post was serious, and I didn't expect that, either.

I mean, most reports are jokes, aren't they?

The stuff that you can make a story about is formidable ... something needing hammering out ... just for the release ...

Rifts in the distance ... farce ide?

Meanwhile in Canada the possibilities of a new book release?

Riffs From The Far Side:

A complete compilation of cryptic, riddle-like writings hammered out by none other than WC2's most proliferate poster Luce The Obscure. I suspect that Kimmio also a proliferate poster in the WC2 will not be buying it.

And now a word from another Canadian of Interest:

" Canada's new Government is focused on what we can control."- Mark Carney.

Sorry Rita, what are we on about now? In an apparent nod to irony, your post isn't exactly clear, either.

Is that what that was?

And are we all in agreement that Whyczar is Rita now, or does anyone need to see more Rita-like things first?

They take a jab at Kimmio and Luce, then one at Carney. What's hard about that?
The more seriously a society (or platform, or regime, or institution) wants to control outcomes through speech regulation, the less genuine free speech it can ultimately tolerate.

When it comes to free speech vs. control I am more inclined to tolerate riding in the "Lucer" lane than I am to tolerating those riding in the "control matters more" Carney lane.

That's they jab of it.
