Ouch Kimmio. A broken knee is more serious than most injuries from stumbles. Healing and comforting thoughts winging your way. Also hoping that necessary supports are put in place to keep you fed and comfortable.

Had to pee. Took me only 20 min total to get from bed to bathroom (next door room) to bed! The hardest is getting out of bed and getting up from the toilet. T3s are peaking but that's still pretty good! I worked out this nifty system where I hook my infinity scarf around by foot on my broken leg so I can help lift and maneuver it while I am lying down and pull back on it to make sure I don't twist it even the slightest bit while I sit up. As long as I keep the leg perfectly straight (bones together) it hurts less, and I can handle some weight on it when standing (the brace is not super tight - may have loosened a little or maybe it was meant not to be too tight but it does turn a bit and I have to manually move turn it back into position a bit). I may need to have help to tighten the Velcro straps in the morning when someone is up. I am still at my parents. My mom lent me some loose lounging clothes, a skirt, a long hoodie type housecoat. My step dad gave me some black and white plaid pyjama pants that fit over the brace that I would actually wear out of the house when I do have to go out (better than the mustard yellow hospital pants I was given). It's less of a struggle to get in and out of bed with this scarf plan, though, plus I stretch my heel cords at the same time (I do stiffen up if stuck in one spot) and can move my leg back and forth to stretch my hip which spasms a bit already and needs daily stretching (the brace is heavy so it's hard to lift without extra leverage). I also think my arms and other leg have gotten stronger in the last 36 hrs, already.

Left Tuesday night after a post about feeling picked on (in the Observer thread, IIRC). Same old, same old, IOW.

What'll we do to keep the caldron frothing? The unseen cosmos could collapse ... but then if you don't envision quantum space ... you wouldn't be interested in strange impacts of mental forces ... they can be fey and scattered ...

All patriarchs should have one in the background ... a subtle thingy ... paranormal or superbly beyond conscience ...

Bridge supports and lacking trolls ... tis a drag ... nothing there after the attributes in drag ... accept nothing!

The middle third of my leg is double the size (not thrombosis, it was looked at today)...just swelling from deep bruising.

The brace is huge and heavy too. With metal rods in it and foam padding inside. My leg feels like a steel old growth log.

I think those braces though are better than the casts that used to be used.
You can wash properly...couldn't with a cast.
You can take it off to look at it, it can adjust with swelling, etc.

I came very close to being sent home in a body cast when I was 15. ugh, those things were terrible. Full leg casts were too.

So, I guess a bit glad for you that OT's and doctors, physiotherapists have worked together to evolve care.
