Wicked storm tonight...baseball-size hail punched a couple of holes in our solarium...neighbour came over and taped up the holes...more importantly, he managed to calm mom down.

Thankfully there wasn't much hail...few dings in the vehicles and the solarium seem to be the only damage. Items outside under the tarp for our sale were a litle damp but all intact - even the glass vases.

No watering restrictions here (beyond permanent ones that are automatically "on" from July 1 to Labour Day) and none really needed. We're getting at least one or two good days of rain a week right now so that takes care of it.

Stalled out on the paper as folks aren't submitting their items in a timely fashion...should get off the computer due to the storm anyway. Mom has an appointment soon and I'll have a whole hour totally and completely to myself.

I.m just not sure how to do it. Our washer only fills with the amount of water required-it's a front loader and senses the amount of clothes.
Dishwasher is water efficient can make sure it is very full.
Son and I can have shorter showers. I could flush less often but that requires more toilet scrubbing.
The lawn(and apple tree and peach tree) is watered every other day and is just recovering from broken sprinklers in June.

I wish I had a way to capture more grey water.

Pail in the shower with you??

Mom cancelled her appointment...making herself sick freaking about the storm and more damage to the solarium - just rain and thunder now.

I've been getting so many pictures on my newsfeed, mostly taken by friends. Stay safe!
We just have ordinary rain today. I got caught in nastier weather after seeing a movie LAST night.

Meanwhile, I have been using a new clothes washer - a gift from my daughters. It uses no electricity, does a wash in five minutes, is portable. It doesn't dry or even spin-dry, though, so that part can take a while.
