Moncton has insanely polite drivers. They actually stop for pedestrians. I grew up in a Montreal in which pedestrian crossings were simply target zones. Nobody used them - well, except for speeding cars.

LAST on a very weird delivery day - niece came with me...papers were later arriving at my house...couldn't find my gloves so had to locate a new pair...later leaving the first community - partly because she was given an ice cream cone at our first stop and it took awhile for her to eat it (dropped it and I cleaned off the layer of sand before she finished it off)...warning lights started flashing on my car so we headed back home and transferred all the papers to mom's van before continuing...lost my ring in the transfer and thankfully found it before we drove off...had to go home early due to a wicked rain/hail/wind storm that drenched us...then the poor girl fell down the stairs when her mom came to pick her up.
