What is this mysterious "spring break" that people speak of? I've heard it's supposed to be quite a big deal when one is in postsecondary studies, but have not once gotten to experience it :)

We are (or at least I am) talking about the public school March Break. Postsecondary spring break, for the public universities, is generally in mid-February ( it was the week of Feb. 16 this year). Somehow, I can't see a bunch of Bible college students racing off to Ft. Lauderdale for a week of sex, drugs/booze, and rock and roll. :D

In university, we didn't refer to it as spring break. Spring is around finals. We had reading week, although there were definitely activities besides reading going on :)
The frustrating thing is we also had something called reading week in the fall - it was only 1 additional day without labs/classes.

Bible college students having fun?? Unheard of!

Must be a very liberal institution. No doubt one of the reasons that Christendom fell was because students at this kind of institution were far more concerned with frivolity than serious study.

I could have become a minister. it was all set up. My mother was terribly upset that I would be "rising above my station". That may explain the divine intervention that got me kicked out of school before completing grade 11.

At my school we agree not to have sex before and outside of marriage , do recreational drugs, and get drunk. That still leaves opportunities for all kinds of fun. Why, just the other night my mom and I enjoyed a rousing game of SkipBo.
