Yggdrasil??

Banned by the Holy Roman Emperor as pagan and natural ... did support some except for those out of their tree ... inhumane sanity?

The other kind of crazy ...

LAST after putting an hour in on this nightmare - this is where some of the potatoes will be planted...I have a 5 gal pail full of weeds and only got about a 1/3 (?) of the area done :P (need to keep reminding myself to celebrate that I am well enough to do this and stop dwelling on all the work still ahead of me)

out at 5:55 to bike and walk the labyrinth...6:10 I started weeding and widening the LAST stretch of the path - finished in 2 hours...then I put in 45 minutes on the nightmare behind the garage as I waited for the garbageman so I could give him a treat - he was LATE today (!)...back in the house at 8:55...just ate breakfast and now to get ready to go pick up my planters and plants from the greenhouse - they called yesterday to say they were ready...not sure if I'll plant today or rest and do it tomorrow

The grouping on the right is what I "'usually" get...the grouping on the left is the "extra" bought for a treat this year...too tired to do any planting today

Spent from 6:30 - 10 AM planting the garden this morning...think I overdid it as I ACHE :( Still have the flowers to plant

Do you have a reaction to Deep Woods Off? That usually keeps them away from me. More mosquito bites is the last thing anyone needs.

Yes...I didn't see any yesterday so thought I was okay without anything - guess I need to pull out my repellent

LAST, as I contemplate the wreckage of my day. I didn't expect I'd get a lot done, but I was simply supposed to have coffee and a visit with my sister this a.m., and give her her box of Easter chocolates, finally. She came down on her bike, had errands to run. Well, long story short, her bike was mechanically "unwell" with a suspected alternator problem. She got her College teaching friends to come to where it had died and help her bump start it, and they got it to the College where her mechanic can pick it up. But then she needed me to drive her home, which is almost an hour away, and by the time I stayed for a brief visit, Verdi's Othello was into Act 2, and so I got into that, and it just ended. So my total accomplishments for the day are: i) get out patio table and glass top; ii) charge lawn mower in preparation for mowing my front field (this No Mow May is hard if you've something of a verdant front yard).

You accomplished more than that...you spent time with your sister and enjoyed Verdi's Othello too ;) Glad your sister was safe and able to get home.

The No Mow May seems to have started in the UK, different native bees there. Haskaps are almost done flowering but the bees still go to the few. Cherry tree is in full bloom and is humming a fair bit. Still haven't seen bees on the few dandelions that have popped up.

Bees have been on the dandelions for quite a while...haven't seen them around the cherry yet but I haven't been around the cherry much as it's closer to the front of the yard
