And there's the geese, too. Which are tomorrow's gift. So, really, the bird thing continues until day 7 with the bling in the middle.

By the way, I was looking for a list to refresh myself (I have trouble keeping things straight after being dazzled by the rings) and found a math exercise for calculating how many birds/rings/people were received in total. An apparently it works out to 364, just shy of the number of days in a year. Wonder if that's deliberate?

Probably...but that means that one is getting 12 partridges/etc because if you just get each set of items once the total is 78
