I don't know if it is my mood or if people really do seem to be getting stupider – the school newsletters this year have been real doozies – one emphasized that the Gr. 7-12 lunch hour starts ONE MINUTE later than the lunch for elementary students – like they really believe that minute is making a HUGE difference to their instructional hours.
Could make a difference if elementary, shares a school space though - when it comes to the bathrooms!

New things happening can cause chimera NG ... sometime described as the chimerii sensation that may be explicitly out there ... the great escape?

One of my grands gave me a school newsletter. I thanked him and read it. I asked if he noticed any errors in it and he found a couple of spelling mistakes. When he left I 'corrected' the letter and returned it to the school with a suggestion that they get an English teacher to proofread these things before sharing them with the public. Yes - I can be a picky, grouchy, outspoken older lady (but I suspect you all know that already).

Each school, and community, newsletter I get has more and more mistakes - I know I don't catch them all but I do try to keep the grammatical and spelling mistakes to a minimum in the paper.

And unless the teacher is over 40, chances are pretty good that they wouldn't find any errors either.

LAST week when I stopped at the school my niece showed me her mini white board that she does her school work on - they are going back to every child having a slate at their desk - just a more modern version.

I'm hoping this snow won't LAST. Want to wait with me and help me watch it melting? I have fresh hot drinks (whatever type you prefer) and some of this morning's baking blitz to offer. Multi grain bread, cinnamon buns and croissants - take your pick.

Yum...croissants please...watching snow melt is more fun than watching things blowing around in our wild wind gusts - though thankfully nothing large has blown by yet.

We didn't get the snow today but we sure have the wind...I can also see how some people in the 30s went insane if they had to listen to that roaring all day, every day.
