We lost power for 1.75 hours before supper...no damage here. Besides the fires there was also two train derailments in AB yesterday.

Crossnest Pass fire is still out of control and they still have wind - concern as we have relatives down there...authorities say the others are out but as they are walking around showing us (tv coverage), I could still see pretty big flames in some places.

My relatives are at the other end of the Pass from Coleman so are fine, IF the wind doesn't change direction.

At LAST the wind has died down a bit. Lots of (mostly) minor damage around town. Shingles off, items tossed about, water butts blown around, trees or branches on power lines - that sort of thing. I confess I grinned when I read on a local FB group "Anyone missing a trampoline? There's one on the corner of 7th St and 2nd Av. " I changed the location so you won't find it if you go looking - it isn't yours anyway!

A co-worker had her Skeleton with a Rose Halloween lawn decoration blow away in the wind storm. That would be the last thing I'd want to find on my lawn after the wind died down.

I was wrong about wind speed it did get up to 114k yesterday. Calmer today but quite a few trees down. A restaurant had their empty patio furniture-metal chairs and tables blow off their patio
