It is a lovely morning here. I enjoyed sleeping in later than normal. That's one of the benefits of these dark mornings. Our indoor cat had her little outdoor break in the backyard where she can sniff around safely. She had six magpies on the fence hollering down at her. One would swoop down every now and again. I think she thought she'd be able to get herself some fresh breakfast. She didn't. She did get to exercise her hunting skills sort of. 1 cat + 6 magpies = standoff.

Still can't find out why all the emergency vehicles in town Thursday night - everyone I ask says there was a fire call but they were out of town so don't know what happened either.

No...but I've been phoning and emailing the local firemen directly...no one seem s to know what's going on.

I think I'm going on my bike for a ride as it is a nice sunny day. If I see any emergency vehicles I'll flag them down and ask what happened in Mirror last Thursday night.
