Sunny and bright here, after a rather cloudy morning.
Wicked thought, based on all the knitting tips on recent pages: Is it possible to knit a coffee mug?
I know BethAnne has done cupcakes, seems they would go well with a coffee mug.

Not only do we have a concern with forests burning out of control, but because it is so dry (particularly in southern AB), farmers are (unintentionally) starting grass fires as they are harvesting.

The only straight needles I use anymore are dpns for socks. Even there I've found some short circulars that I'm trying out. :)

Last.

As a child I remember trying to knit mittens and socks with four short, double pointed needles. How awkward they were! How inadequate I felt! And Mom wasn't known for her patience.

My Mom always did sweater sleeves two at a time as the only sure fire method to get them identical length...LAST.

I took up knitting as an adult - learned to enjoy it, and did quite a bit. I discovered this was the best way to do sleeves; also the two front pieces to a cardigan.
I gave up knitting a few years ago and gave away my needles and yarn. This thread makes me wish I could still do it.

I'm afraid my Parkinsons would make it very difficult for me - with my tremor and stiffness, and difficulty sometimes in getting messages from my brain to my fingers.

There is that...maybe you could take up arm knitting??? :)

Jae you could have a siezure walking down the street or while in your swimming pool. Why do you think knitting would cause one.

Oh, I don't think it would cause one Tabitha. I just hate the thought of having one whilst I'm holding a pair of needles.

No more dangerous than holding a knife or fork and having a seizure.

The sharpest knife I use is a butter knife. Knitting needles are entirely much more pointy. At my cashiering job (in a cafeteria), I'm not allowed to use any knives.

I meant you haven't stopped eating because of your epilepsy so knitting wouldn't be any more dangerous.

Why would a cashier need a knife?

We have more than one POS terminal. At times in the past, I used to step behind the grill and cook when the other Cashier was taking cash and the grill cook stepped out for a break. However, my doctor put a stop to that.
