Saw some highland dancers a few years ago at a folk festival. Many of the girls wore kilts (like the boys) but some were in white dresses with tartan sashes.

I'm a bit blown away, actually P3. I love Tom Power and his roots stuff. I rarely listen to Q as I listen to Julie in the morning...

LAST, while trying to run the CBC for them; I hate change...

P3 is right...I'm a Highland dancer.

I have to be in the right mood to listen to opera or classical music and I don't seem to be in the right mood often. Love Celtic harp. Any Irish or Scottish...like country and 50s music...can tolerate folk and bluegrass.

I can't believe you're a Celtic dancer. I seem to recall a picture here on WC2 of you in a skirt.

Have you listened to Q music (in the old Deep Roots spot)? It is pretty good but not as good as Deep Roots in my opinion.

Because they were doing different dances. We wear the kilt for the fling, Sword Dance, Seann Truibas (sp?), Johhny...we wear the dress for the Lilt, Flora MacDonald's Fancy, Irish Jig (Scottish style), Earl of Errol.

I got "Lump of Coal" chewing gum from my uncle for Christmas LAST year - he was ticked with me over something I'd said earlier in the year.
