Just as long as there aren't currents in the butter tarts...that's how my family made them and I'm NOT a fan of currents...otherwise, anything goes.

Raisins and/or nuts. No currants. I mean, seriously, currants have their place but not in butter tarts. We had currant bushes and Mom used to make jam, IIRC.

I'm not a fan of them in hot cross buns either...another MUST in my family...I don't mind current jelly or syrup

Not sure I have ever eaten currents. Are they in scones sometimes?
I think so. I've really only had Black Currant tea (black tea with black currant flavour) in recent years. You can get a Tetley's bagged version from Amazon and my local tea shop sells a looseleaf one.

I actually don't drink much herbal tea. Mostly black and green, though I have a nice oolong at work right now.

Coffee with hazelnut or chocolate is wonderful, but vanilla flavour not to my liking. Flavoured tea I can’t speak to, but peppermint herbal tea is awesome.

If I'm going to drink tea, I prefer herbal - even better is herbs (fresh or dried) from the garden...that said, my fav beverage is hot chocolate :)

I drank a lot of hot chocolate when I went off coffee during one of my pregnancies. Never think to drink it now.

Most commercial hot chocolate is dripping with sugar so I tend to avoid it, or at least check the package first. We have a huge can in the kitchen at work but I haven't partaken. Someone brought in some nice homemade coffee drink mixes (instant coffee mixed with sugar, chocolate, and other ingredients) at Christmas, one of which isn't too heavily sugared and I drink that on occasion.

LAST while contemplating I don't really like any flavoured tea or coffee.

I only like specific flavours. I like a chai spice in black tea. I like rose in both black and green teas. I love jasmine green tea.

Coffee should taste like coffee, roasted dark.

I tend to think of herbal teas as more medicinal than tasty, although nettle/lemon balm/mint/lavender teas are usually appealing.

I'm similar. Irish Breakfast is my favourite standard tea. It's dark and strong. That's how I like my coffee too. I like Chai, Earl Grey and Monk's Blend for black. Ginger and peppermint or other mints are my non-black tea choices. Fruity teas are something I'll have now and again

Earl Grey tea is not my favorite. I like both English and Irish breakfast teas.

And I like me being LAST
