Yes, he wrote a column for my paper for quite a while...stopped when he told me I couldn't publish any letters to the editor that were against him...I thanked him for his contributions and sent him on his way.
He could be a bit of a curmudgeon as I recall. I am actually surprised he said that about the letters to the editor

Yeah he was as an interesting member of our community here.

I haven't had any contact with him in over 3 years...curmudgeon part of his character I could handle...it was the his attitude re the letters to the editor and 2 days of downright nasty emails sent to me (because I did publish one) where the nicest thing he said to me was that I was an idiot from AB...totally unprofessional in my opinion and I was quite happy to say goodbye to him.

That was sad; he was, however, 92...

And Graeme was 87. Another good long life.

I'm not seeing an extension of life beyond the late 80s as really advancing.

I think I'm saying that I'm not seeing that possibility. Seems that as you progress through 80s, 90s, even if you do "pretty well", you are definitely headed on the way to death. Our end date isn't changing much.

Sigh...two days in a row, the box of puzzle pieces has mysteriously flipped off the table and spilt all over the floor :P

I've been eating too healthy lately (and incidentally, it hasn't made me feel any better :P ) so used the last pie crust in the freezer to make a chocolate coconut pie

I think, BA, that if a healthy diet isn't making you feel better, perhaps it's more about your individual reactions to diet items? Too much meat in my diet makes me feel ill, but I need some meat protein, it seems; I don't feel as well when I'm vegetarian and then I have meat cravings. Same with dairy; I try to minimize it because of cow's milk proteins, but I crave cheese, and goat cheese doesn't always quite satisfy, and I can't drink/cook with goat milk or yogurt because I can't get over the goat-y smell.

Yes, I need some meat and daily so to cut it out totally doesn't work for me...I'm not a vegetarian/vegan type of person.

Goat's essence ... a matter of discussion and dialogue ... being how old goats rise to peak ... iconic! The symbol is everywhere from Chrysler trucks to Toy Odas ... just business ... dynamics!
