re the grilled cheese- REALLY awful, mine went in the nearest garbage. Don't think the crows would relish it either.

My daughter - who's 13 - ordered a cream cheese bagel at Timmies after school a few weeks ago. I picked her up to do some Christmas shopping and she was hungry and there was a Timmies right there. Anyway. She gets the bagel, brings it back to the car and takes it out of the bag. She took a bite and I saw her looking confused. I asked her what was wrong. She said - "there's no cream cheese on it. It's just a dry bagel." We both looked. Turns out there was cream cheese. It was like a big scoop of cream cheese - not spread in any way - that was filling the bagel hole. Seriously. That was their idea of a cream cheese bagel. A dry bagel with nothing on it and a huge ball of cream cheese filling the hole. I told her that we should go back and either get another one or get her money back. She said no. "I don't think I want to go there again, dad." Another customer lost.

Funny when business thinks they are in control ... they don't have to serve the clientele. Ace in the hole ... they believe ...

They're going to lose customers aplenty if they give service like that and do mistreat their employees. Moreover, I don't believe they offer any clean label beverages.

Second Cup moves to ‘Clean Label’ beverages

60,000 job losses expected.

Sixty. Thousand.

60,000 job losses by 2019 due to minimum wage increase: Bank of Canada

Wynne must not be re-elected.

Yeah these reports come out every time the minimum wage issue is addressed...fact is it's based on speculation and not facts...... The average worker will have more money going into their pockets to spend and I'm sure smart businesses will figure out how to target that extra money.
Economies prosper when workers have more money.

Speculation???? The same thing encountered in Vegas that people state they won't tell about ... not by true chance ... perhaps some greasing of hands required?

Are you familiar with the Vegas nerve? Excuse me ... tis Vegus ... and controls pneumos ... tis like a Irish Eire ...

More money in their pockets Waterfall? Doubtful. Some business have already started raising their prices. At the cafe where I work, as just one example, the price of many food items went up yesterday.

My first job was washing golf clubs at one of the best golf courses of the day for $0.75 / hr. I was 13 years old and on payday lost most of it gambling on the putting green with one of the older caddies.

The best part of that job was that I could golf free as long as I teed off before 6 am.

13 year olds don’t have any mouths to feed, or really any great skills to offer.

They just need a little gambling and beer money. $16 seems a little excess.

Jae slept with his girlfriend??? ... how does that orient in the family?
LuceNDs, you've been sanctioned once before for using the word "oriental" in reference to Jae's wife. It's impossible to believe that you innocently chose to use the word "orient" in another post referencing Jae's family. That was deliberately provocative. Please do not make another such reference.

Jae, it would be most helpful if you stopped replying with variations of "I don't know" on various threads. If you have nothing to contribute to a thread then nothing is probably the best thing to contribute.

Is oriented a direction? Some don't got none ...

Then Einstein said that abstract domains have no up or down dimensions ... and thus undirected!

Some can't even see the coming and going of the complexity of life as they look for simple emotional points to stand upon ... then others can't let chaos go ... even though inserting further confusion so as to loose direction due to Gods humour ... through the advocate!

Isn't that the devil in satyr ... a red flag?

Here's a response from Tim Hortons, to the rogue franchises (there's more now) that are taking away employees benefits and other perks.

Tim Hortons lashes out at 'rogue' franchisees as employees lose even more perks

Have rogue franchises been doing such things for generations of creative accounting? Does allow the rich to get richer if you ignore the consequent function ... therein is the rub ... when the lights went out ... the wisdom was displaced ... displacement in a place of chaos ... describes humanitee to a "t"!

Did you know "t" was Tau in some traditions and thus Taoism is lost to Shintoism ... the belief in silence and s'watch ... it's time ...

Straight appearances :-| ... are often crooked ... when you substitute a ~~~ ... foray --- ! Toophums up ...

Tis due as people are ode things in the entire Cosmos ... or so they believe as they can't see alternately !

NO TIMMYS TUESDAY...

On Tuesday go to Second Cup. Let Tim Hortons know that taking benefits from their workers is not ok.

Does Second Cup provide paid breaks? What are their benefits like? Why have two rich families - the Horton heirs and the Westons - been doing the bulk of the whining about this?
