I'm feeling quite guilty right now A tracking number has revealed that a particular Secret Santa will deliver late in the day on the 29th, so think twelve days of Christmas, you who are this Santa's recipient. However, you're doing better than my son, whose tracking number isn't even suggesting a date...

I'm a later sender too. I don't have a tracking number I just put it in an outdoor mailbox and hoped for the best. I did go to one outside of a business and not my community one as everything sent wouldn't fit through the slot and I think they sort those ones faster. Chemguy thinks I'm weird for preferring the send out boxes only to the community ones so no idea if there's any basis to my feeling on that.
 
So sorry to have missed this wonderful exchange...... so I will wish everyone an amazing new kind of Christmas with the age old message made new again in one's heart of hearts. God is wherever we cannot be right now, and sorely wish to be.
May we learn you love all and that we have things to change and stand clearly to make sure they do get changed.

I did it! I resisted the temptation till the 25th!
Thank you, Mrs. Anteater! She sent a few goodies, chocolate covered coffee beans and some David's Tea, some seasonal artwork in postcards, and some Christmas themed bookmarks, to assist ion my reading of the book she sent, a copy of Seeler's novel. Looking forward to reading it in the near future. Thanks again, Mrs. Anteater!
 
Kay the curler sent me the gift of 2020- a self made mask, a sewn potluck holder/ carrier, a wooden loonie holder , some inspiring texts in a beautiful handwriting and a stick which I am still to put into my computer to find the music she put on it.
 
Seeler sent me a lovely pair of mittens, locally knitted, from locally spun yarn, from locally raised sheep. Lovely shade of dark red; they will go beautifully with one of my favorite outdoor coverups, a thick Chilean cape, black with white and red accents, and they're a lovely weight for dog walking. Inside one of them was a lovely note; in the other, some gingerbread cookies, some of them heart-shaped, in memory of our dear Crazyheart. Thanks, Seeler!

You will have to report in a few days on how much you love that squeak, LOLOLOL... Lucy has a pig somewhere that squeaks, and I'm not unhappy that it appears to have gotten lost in the backyard.

She's pretty good. She doesn't make squeaky toys squeak a lot. I'll report back if that changes.....
 
I got a starbucks gift card from @ninj along with a beautiful card and the thought of fair trade chocolates (the would-be gift if shopping in stores was easier).

Bette, I'm glad you like the mittens. Real wool is so much nicer than a blend, and much, much warmer. I had to resist keeping them for myself.

I love Briggs and Little yarn, and I appreciated so much more, having heard the back story.

Gingerbread – a few years ago when grandson was young, my sister sent me a recipe she had found that was similar to the one Mom had used to make a batch of cookies almost every week. So grandson and I began a tradition of making gingerbread men, every Christmas. And having been taught thrift by my Mom so many years ago, I was delighted to find some very small cookie cutters in various shapes including hearts. With them, I am able to use a almost every scrap of dough. And often people just want to taste – and then another – and then another.

I miss crazy heart.

This year, grandson (as 16) didn't have time to help me with the gingerbread cookies. He came over and helped put up the outside lights and then went off to his job at Dairy Queen, assured that he would still get this Christmas treat.

Here's to add to your back story. My sister is a fabric artist, particularly a knitter, and I was telling her about my new mittens and I went up to visit today. One glance, and she said "that's Brigg's and Little yarn; I made you and Dave matching socks from that years ago; lovely stuff and it wears forever."
