I knew a boy many years ago who was turning 13 on Friday the13th. He started his day much as usual -breakfast - grab the school bag -out the door- run down the street - jump the fence around a friend's yard and - BOOM - first time he ever misjudged. Landed across a small row of rocks edging a flower bed. One broken leg , one broken arm, one scraped up face! Most of the day spent getting x-rayed and casted and stitched!
 
Somebody may have mentioned it but many high rises don't have a 13th floor. Our old building didn't. It was built in the 70s. Kind of silly, isn't it, that the builders factor in superstition? The people on the 14th floor are really on the 13th floor anyway. I guess somebody assumes they can't figure that out?

Since I am (j'suis, or jae Zues) at loose ends about something intelligent to say about the sacred passageways called the 13th floor ... could we refer to them as inner sank dems ... as they almost feel out of awareness?

Then by monolithic religious trends ... we weren't supposed to know anyway ... so that we could cultivate desires ... it back fired!

If required to be naïve by the great powers of ju juiced jubelleum say something stupid for their benefit! In all probability if you said something sensible about visions and seers ... they would believe it right out of the questionable area ... and deny OBI's!

It is said the only way to really learn about far out things is through myths of the beyond ... and that's redundant wording!
 
Ugh for the second month in a row Friday the 13th looms. I had to work on the 14th floor for a few months once when our floor was being renovated. I hated it because I knew it really was the 13th floor even though the elevator said 14. Was a relief to get back to a luckier floor.
 
The Second Friday the 13th was worse at work than the first. Sometimes I really am trapped in a Dilbert cartoon. Ha ha ya gotta laugh, but thank Goddess for weekends!
 
Week ends! Place with room for avoidance of regular pain of life ... hoolo graphs, or just devoid areas to cast off copies of accrued self-image making ... dark mire stuff ...

Thus the Dark Knight Rises causing may hymn in the world of them without the tool of sects ... thus the instruments (with and without) that are the cornerstone of society ... or the generation of the raw materials thereof from which souls are cultivated ... sometimes eerie lye ... or Eire lee of reality in the old conformist attitude of mind over matter ... people still wonder about the bottom lyre in the works of trebuchet .. a cat a' pul't away from her regular travail by body tossing events? Apocalypse, or just pure hermeneutic following true to mis-informational trends?

You didn't know about the creative extraction of informational material ... genes ... or just a jinn of metaphorical transfer? Similar but not quite the same ... allowing for sloe change wile senseless.

Thus something was thrown off trax ... some say trajectory ... defining a Swerve or a bent wain (way-in internal space Canan_... as the carrier was warped by what's come around ... for you to face matter after commenting of the rear view! Sort of like spirits leaving the church once they think about the devotion to naïveté ... some say a conspiracy of ignorance about collectives without caution about too many copyists ... floods of plagiarism! Authorities hate this as they don't wish common people telling stories about the hei rupts ... to close to blasted truth! Dis ease spread by flying Kaddie sorts sometimes spelt Kiity so those with deadened sense won't see what's to come out of the relationship ... multiple urchins ... if they don't know beta ...
 
This past Friday the 13th, my oldest Canadian niece, who was born on an earlier Friday the 13th, got a tattoo (her first-ever) of the number XIII. That is so kewl.
 
Another icon as disciple of the marked of thy's kin ... ladies of the dance, tattoo?

Some religious stoics would bounce over that ...
 
They can get under the skin ... like stories wrote on de lamb ... not rotten ... just deviate as the authority tells us the truth hurts!
 
And if you ever needed proof that the kanji script is just borrowed and slightly modified Chinese script, here is the traditional Chinese character for the same.

When we were B&Bing in Banff back in 1990 or so, we met a lot of Japanese people. One couldn't speak English and Mrs. M's Japanese is pretty minimal (she did study it for a language requirement for one of her Chinese degrees but never used it) so they mostly swapped notes in Kanji/Chinese.

I am not one for tattoos (needles are involved *shudder*) but if I had one, I'd probably do some kind of Chinese or Japanese script. Simple and meaningful.

Well it's literally only about half an inch in diameter, and it was about all the pain I could take. Over the years, I thought about getting more added to it or getting it touched up but I chickened out. I thought I was pretty cool at the time, though. :) Some tourists recognized it once, when it was showing, and they were quite delighted about it. That was fun. I was glad it was actually readable. Someone did tell me that it meant the same in Kanjii and Chinese.

Mendalla - that doesn't prove that kanji is borrowed from Chinese script. It only suggests that they are related in some way. I'm not disputing your claim that kanji came from Chinese though.
 
Agreed. It could have gone the other way and I should have included a cite as well as the example.
