I have decided to watch movies classified as top 100 of all time, on various lists, and have booked a few out from the library.
This checks a few boxes -- not using internet to download, removing the movie channels from our satellite tv subscription, and watching exceptional movies.
Tonight's movie was 12 Angry Men.

Powerful movie, kept me paying attention.
I did that years ago...watched older movies that had won Oscars from the 1930s on, and then I watched all the nominees for each respective year. Powerful movie, kept me paying attention.
Loved 12 angry men.
We went to see Killers of The Flower Moon....3+ hours of intense drama.
I found it very intense but was left with many questions, which is typical I suppose when it's a movie produced by a white man trying to be fair.
It's basically about the Osage people who became the richest people on earth in the 1920s due to suddenly finding oil on their land...
Enter the white man who think they should have it and a scheme to kill off anyone set to inherit it and then marry the surviving family member.
Very intense and recommend choosing a theatre with reclining seats...we didn't, and wish I had.
