I've always been slim, and 5'8" so losing that much weight is not good.
Sorry I missed this thread until now.

My mom could always blow away in a stiff breeze and we knew something was wrong when she started losing weight. They say the chemo helped, but I think her natural stubborn nature did as much good. Usually, that side of her drives me nuts.

Thinking of you.

Thus calcium, magnesium and some other elements like phosphate enter the picture forming the bones of the story ... you just know there is more to it than meets the eye ... a metaphor of incarnate? "Like a vapor" said Freud ... went by like Shenandoah ... settled! Creative dew 'd ... Mari essence!

Oh @Waterfall I'm sorry to read about your health struggles. I'm glad you have a good surgeon. The Whipple procedure is a big deal. It may be something that is done more often then we know. Pathology reports take a long time and waiting for them is scary.

You're in my prayers and I'm sending hugs.

How are you doing @Waterfall?
Hello, right now I'm home with a stent that was placed between my duodenum and my pancreas to allow food to get through to my stomach.....so now I can eat small meals slowly and lots of Ensure. The problem is my tastes buds have changed and many things I formerly loved to eat now taste like cardboard....so I'm eating ALOT of soups.
And now I'm having bowel movements again also....haha...bet you didn't need to hear that.
Unfortunately, the stent is only temporary and the Whipple Procedure is still on the table, but it has given me time to adjust to the reality of some significant changes
that will happen to my body and the statistics.
It's been.......challenging for me......but I'm working through it.

As a retired nurse my spouse declares: "no poo ... you cannot think!"

This appears, incarnates on many levels, tiers, etc. Stacked?

@Waterfall I can't think of anyone that it wouldn't be challenging for.

May your questions be answered as you encounter them, and if not, at least that you get the reasons why they can't be.

The light is always on at wondercafe2. Glad to hear that you are popping in, even if not posting.

Sounds like more of a pause than a respite, but glad things are better for the moment and nice to have you back @Waterfall. Good vibes going out as you move forward in this difficult health challenge.

Out of respect, I will take a hiatus on being funny so you don't damage anything laughing at my jokes. Only structural engineering commentary for now.

The entire world is funny due to common genetics that powers tyrannically deny ... the weather for instance ... it is natural so it doesn't exist in a great mind stretched beyond any capacity to learn! Mother character? It's unnatural as a thought ... so it goes as prodigal ... trashed ... obsolete! Disconnected or disseminated as properly isolated? Autonomous eh ...

What does autonomous have to do with autocracy ... "automatic" without a thought ... it happens!

Heh Mon ... get a grip ...

I sincerely appreciate your words of kindness, thank-you so much!

@Waterfall just thinking of you and realized that we haven't had an update for a couple of months (or at least, not here), and because of that, I haven't done a response. I just want to let you know that I am thinking of you, and wishing you well

Thank-you Jayne and Northwind, right now I'm just a little overwhelmed with some things.....I've had a drainage bag put in to drain the bile off....my bilirubin count was 800 when it should be just 10 or around that, I was very orange with yellow eyes....would have been good for Halloween, lol. Then they replaced the bag with an inside drain that goes to the bowels and the colour has subsided.
I have lost alot of weight and look like a bone rack....but no time for vanity, i need to get my weight way up to even go through the operation..,..so I've been in hospital and now home to gain weight. My family is helping and I have home care for dressings.
Just overwhelmed I guess.....and I'm very weak from lack of a good diet some days are good too. I'm sooooo sick of ensure (but thankful at the same time), I'm forcing it down as I try to find regular food that doesn't taste like cardboard, as alot of food tastes to me right now.
I like reading wonderful 2 and posting sometimes.
Northwind believe me, I get strength from your posts, you're amazing and no cancer will ever take that light that shines from you to others! You're an amazing lesson for me
Thank-you.
