I agree Luce - we cannot fully enter the experiences of another. Many years ago I read a book by Bernie Segal, a cancer surgeon, who talked about the experience of cancer & illness - he commented that there are "tourists & natives" - tourists think they know what it's like to live in a place (i.e. live with cancer or illness), but they don't really; natives (those with the diagnosis) usually have a very different experience of the place. And then of course each native is unique within that too.
 
Yet there are those that say they know everything ... god told them!

Is it difficult to be aware of mortal experience as something less than eternal?

Now if one can imagine another's pain would this be incomplete? It is so difficult for people to accept mortality ... that's is being cognizant of something gone astray? That's how it goes ... from possession by emotions that just blow the mental functions as an oppositional brain storm! One should cool it and think a bit ... get to know chit ... as some very religious people about passions feel about thinking and knowledge ... have nothing to do with it!

What goes missing? Guess! After all religiously you are not supposed to know ... the tree of knowledge is evil ... perhaps the strange devil as the opposing advocate knows! Something to get over ...

I've done that, a long time ago, but learned from the opposite direction. Like I said, the business is about male control, not female empowerment...but that is hidden by new language. That is my opinion. I used to think sex work was no big deal, and something that just is and will always be. I no longer believe that has to be true.

I don't think my earlier opinion of it was a net positive on my life and actions.

And my later opinion of it is helping me understand some things about my choices, to be more wise in relationships in the future, understand what contributes to my low self esteem/ low confidence, and get through some things and so I will not repeat the same mistakes again in the future.
 
Thus the goad of wisdom ... a painful life ... something eventually escaped from ... some say by the grate full dead as they ignite in the darkness! A spark of incite?

This could bring the Levite, or some heavy handedness to the real situation ... one or the other thinking mediums are not accepted ... this is too close to a tree of logic (or knowledge) as it says so fervently in the "book" although there are other books according to the Gospel of John they too are right out of here ... as there wasn't rheum ... metaphor for aD't ica in older expressions! Most miss that ...
 
You know what...for me, it would be easier to have a boyfriend like Connor Habib, and accept what he does...I mean, I would have significant moments of jealousy, discomfort just like his partner did...it might not last...just like his relationship didn't...but I would not feel flat out disrespected...I don't think he's a bad person, or as selfish as some of his audience likely are...just read the newspaper article (I know he's gay, just talking about his caring and honest nature) than to put up with someone who uses it as a private fantasy that I am too "good" to be included in (or the "whore" not good enough to marry).That's too close to emotional abuse/ infidelity, to me to put up with. I mean, I already did, and I'm done. It's unacceptable. And, really I think the sex biz is a playground for selfish men with commitment issues, more than it is some egalitarian/ humanitarian service to guys who can't get a date. It's definitely catering more to the former...and that is hurting women too. So, it is the business that bothers me. He is him. He is not the business and it is the business, regardless of whether or not he enjoys making money off sex...it's about more than that, even, that he is not seeing...and I don't really know anything about the gay porn end of the biz...but the biz is hurting women, and not just the ones doing it...if you, like me, believe that they, and all women in society, are being harmed by being objectified. i believe it does harm men's views of women as whole people, and creates intimacy issues for a lot of men who are consumers of porn...especially the ones who learn as young men, about sex, from porn. especially with Internet porn so available...they get distorted views of women. It contributes to sexism. I really dislike the biz. I disagree with Connor... But I don't dislike him at all.

Feeling disrespected, demeaned, on one hand...but placed in this "virtuous" role, but not having my partner be honest and open and shutting me out of a side of himself over time...because the quick satisfaction of porn was easier than the effort of intimacy. And on the other hand, at one time having been seen as the object to men and slut shamed. And I know there are many others like me, too. Do our subjective opinions count as much as the subjective opinion of people like Connor's do?Some may not even realize what's happening yet, or are not ready to admit that those are their spouses and partners. But are we the only ones that need to try on different perspectacles?

Whoever's most mature should try on the different perspectacles first, not wait around for others to do so.
 
Do you suppose angels in heaven feel disrespected running about all day with little, or no clothes. At night they dress up in lace and create great fusses ... over the frail networking ... as scantly clad concepts are like deep tales ... or gross myths about cults and sects!

I can top that off with Kurt Rudolph's Gnosticism!

First a soul has to dig into the meaning of Gnostic ... sometimes referring to the unknown, sometimes what understanding is contained in the unknown and just how great is the unknown compared to the mortal stance ... that appears to have a limited reach in the alternate tilt of the bucket. Some say Gnostic is the unknown ... while others say that it is what is buried and hidden from the mortal ... Aye?

Then it gets into the essence of story and how it counters the lie ... and from a lying domain's perspective ... the story may be broad and deep but all crap to the great will ... thus conflict erupts ... just because of all the previous stuff. Then the greatest power provided a place to forget and it is out there and dark to say least as it prefers nemesis (that's as humble as it can get). Albeit most of the paradigm will say that's out-of-sight because they don't wish to know it so shove it in the corner. How does one do this in a closed circle?

You can bet some powerful voices will erupt and say ignore that alternate voice and thus the volume is turned down to nothing and the mass shrinks ... a compression of the communication. When "0" we are light enough to get out under the strength of light itself ... and some say light is nothing until the lights are turned out in GEO Ghia ... and a crowd gathers under the bridge ... a hidden sect doing the wash ... implications? There the single estate gets into complexity the friend disappears and love pops up causing blindness ... a po' etic event of shakers and grinders ...

There are those that say this all goes on in the head, part of the abstract ... and there it begins as hedonism ...

I ask what happens Sanhedrin ... head dipping (don't look)! I am told we are not to consider screwups as a learning point ... and thus at this small conjecture we practice insanity and do the same ole thing! This is the consequence of trashing the light of learning, illumination of wrongs in the past and take all wrongs and rights as paradise ... when it is snake Ayes ... 2 points converging in folk-US as another empire fails ...

That view will get me in *hit 4 shore ... so the line of word must be shifted ... in a red dress scheme ... offsetting conspiracy? Bloody 'Ellen ... once an oracle always and oracle even if invisible as the Lord of Nothing ... the abstract spot ... point missing as MS's?

There is said to be a connection with Mani, mania, Manchurian, etc. but righteously denied and thus out of sight under the Jude item of concern ... covered? But that too is ineffable ... don't listen Alice ... and she was still ...

Anyone read Still Alice as bones of fiction ... it too fell under criticism as all things in an imperfect realm are considered and reconsidered ... beta chances on the second round? Projectionism is something of futuristic bother ... then if you have no care for time, dt's and Eemaze 'n things beyond mortal comprehension ... you potentially have no soul ---Satchmo (formerly a carpet bagger and gross whistle blower). Steam boating ...

It may never pass because of shallow waters ... Shoah ... catastrophe of running ah grounded mission? Complexity personified ... after crossing the bloodied ONE of your desire! Next time be gentler ... with the sticking points ... thorny issue?
