Once it got bad. At the beginning (months, not days or weeks) there wasn't much being done. I had actually started a thread on WC before there was a fair bit of attention, and I hadn't even heard of the outbreak that close to the very start. It was no where near being the worst outbreak at the time, but there were concerns it would be, and unfortunately partially due to a lack of response those predictions were correct.

Many people think nothing less than themselves to be insubstantial and thus the loss or pragmatic nature as such utilitarian things drift f... a bit stunned if you ask me ... but consider me an outsider to the bookie perspective ... borderline conjecture, sometimes known as a far out thought ... where the paradigm is led to believe thoughts should be ... out of the question! This is in conflict with I Thessalonians 5:21 or thereabouts on trysts ... or trying to think in an emotional state ... quite a pilgrimage or job --- Chaucer? Especially when dealing with the old second itty ... sometimes known a B'ittdy in Greece ... that'd be Vincent to St Paul ... a real tic in theis Ide ...

No kidding.

I made the mistake of getting into a discussion with anti-vaxxers re the HPV vaccine. dang. not a good time to do so, but, could not believe the ignorance....they actually said that an autopsy was a coverup...
 
Whatever some may say, I am glad that something good like this vaccine came out of Canada. Let the battles happen, but time is on the side of those who are working for life-saving initiatives like this.

Western countries using feigned concern as pretext for invasion and resource theft IN AFRICA ... well that's just silly ... isn't it?

Was there ever a NATO military assault on Libya using 'humanitarian intervention' as it’s pretext ... ?

Were there ever Western 'civilizing' missions into Africa ...armed with bibles and bullets ... to 'save Africans from themselves'...?

Did Western Imperialistic powers ever take full control of the land and lives of their 'new African subjects' ...?

Was Africa, really ever ravaged by both the Trans-Atlantic and the Trans-Saharan Slave Trades ... ?

With the exception of Liberia and Ethiopia, did every other inch of Africa came under the control of European imperialist powers ?

Was the result not nearly a hundred years of a brutal occupation; further dehumanization; theft of natural resources while subjecting Africans to internal slavery ... ?

Was the resulting loss of life so high that no serious effort has ever been made to quantify it ... ?

With NATO’s new identity as 'human rights interventionist'...silly 'anti-vaxxer-conspiracy-nuts' don't have a leg to stand on do they?

Is there even one instance ...ever ... of Africans ever being used as Guinea Pigs for vaccination experimentation ...?
 
You're making a conspiratorial jump from a known fact - colonialism - to a conspiracy theory with vaccination as a bad thing being foisted on innocent populations.

I'm very hopeful that this vaccine will prevent or ameliorate the spread of another outbreak of this awful disease.
