Covid 19 Vaccine

Moderna's other bivalent vaccine has been approved as well. So we will likely soon have 2 in use that target the original Covid and BA.4/5

I had a discussion with my pharmacist about the flu shot the other day, in the context of "how long after a COVID infection can I get a flu shot". He recommended a month/4 weeks after a negative test, so I'm going to wait another week or so to book it.

Number 6 done. Slightly concerning symptom, my asthma kicked in shortly after. Chemguy was going to grab food while I waited in the vehicle but I asked to go home right away.

It's a little odd as it's not an inhalant so it didn't start surface level first yet it's mild, sort of hard to explain. Didn't take inhalers yet as it's mild and I prefer not to mask any symptoms. Will take them tonight for the protection.

Pain is comparable to last Pfizer, better than Moderna for me.

Just booked an appt for my 5th shot in 3 weeks. I think it's Pfizer, but that will depend on supply.

Slightly related to the topic, is anyone/everyone getting their flu shot this year?
Chemguy had his it's still a no go for me. He really didn't have a reaction to it at all. Maybe slight tenderness if actually poking right at the specific spot.

Had mine almost two weeks ago. Also, not even a sore arm. The new health nurse at the hospital is as good at putting them in as the old now retired one. So I will go again. I was wondering if the no-reaction was because we have had so many vaccinations lately ( though my last Covid shot is now 11 months ago). Aren’t flu and Covid germs somewhat a similar type?

We got our flu shots a couple of weeks ago. No untoward reactions for either of us. I know one son is also 'done', but hesitate to broach the subject with the other three kids. Some don't have any Covid protection.

Asthma still flated, along with soreness and fatigued.
This is an odd asthma flare for me. Checked in with health link as there's nothing about asthma and the vaccine listed. This is reportable while throat swelling for a different dose wasn't because that was a preexisting condition.

My eczema has been flaring for weeks. I have not changed diet, skin routine, laundry soap. And I've got this stupid barky cough that will not disappear.

Did covid seem to flare that up?

A healthlink doctor called me suggested to watch my O2 sat as he was concerned how low it drops. He figures it's just my immune system going into overdrive with a normal immune response to the vaccine and not an allergy or something like thst. It certainly didn't take long for it to happen.

Interesting. Current flare coincident with both COVID infection AND vaccine. And from an itchiness POV and given that I am following directions re meds really carefully, I am teetering on infection level patches.

Got my flu shot Monday. No soreness do I do not know if that means my immune system did not react to it.

I have ceased to get concerned about the whole vaccination thing. It was enough for me to decide to get whatever the 'experts' tell me. I will either get an unpleasant reaction - or not. I will get a mild or severe dose of Covid - or not. It all seems pretty much out of my control.
Obviously, I would prefer NO disease that further stresses my lungs.
