It is becoming a mess, actually. Princess will accept mixed mRNA brands but not AZ+mRNA but Norwegian won't accept even mixed mRNA. Which worries me since I am in the mRNA mixed brand group. Haven't heard from Carnival, my preferred brand, but they own Princess so I hope they follow the same rules.

The real problem here is governments do not seem to be moving on global rules for vaccine passports so everyone is making them up based on their country's approved vaccines and protocols. The US did not approve AZ or mixing so US companies are taking that to mean that people vaccinated with AZ or a mixed protocol don't count as "fully vaccinated" even though no one has actually set out a formal rule yet.

And 2nd doses seemed to be happening earlier here. When I saw the discussion it was weeks before I saw anything in the news about what the US/cruises were accepting (I think the first thing I saw was about a concert in the US and they changed their policy on AZ after complaints from Canadians).

I think there will be a fair number of changes of who takes what over the next year.

Geez. Quebec wasn't doing 2 doses for those who had tested positive for COVID previously. We're not doing it when there's emerging evidence it offers better protection for certain populations. Travelers though? Going ahead because od policy in other places, not evidence based care.

When you look at Israel and Australia where vaccinations were done for almost everyone.. twice and they are coming down again to lock down.
Australia with empty streets, it seems to me the vaccine is just not working. They need to fix it before they do the desired (by Pfizer) go round again.

I don't want another vaccine shot and be drugged again in another fast and unreliable manner. It is experimental, as we all know,
but overkill is also a deadly game like Russian roulette. They need to take the time to get it right. Many scientists have said the more vaccines the more chances of variants. Balance is the key and fear unsettles balance.
There has been more fear mongering than love mixed into this matter.

As for Pfizer's Owner said on TV he wants it to continue. I nearly threw a sock at the TV after hearing him say that. That was at the beginning
of the roll out. But what he is saying he wants this illness to continue... meaning he wants people to get sick.
Whoa there Mister. That's a mighty huge mistake to be thinking let alone speaking.

And that is where money and profits sneak loudly into it all. Until we have enough faith, love, to allow people before profits,
we will not see how that would turn it around. Money over God's ideas of loving. Love is positive. Gain is fear of losing.
Perfect Love casts out fear.
So how do we put these together to not harm one another. Pray for love for every one, without reservation, That's how God loves us.

Science has proven prayer helps anyone, everyone. It is positive energy, and it can override negative energy.
That is fact. Pray it, think it, live it, be it. Be it. Live it. Think it. Pray it.

Be it in the community where you are. Without judgement, without negative thoughts, without anger.
drop them into the God box. and just love.
Pray it. Think it. Live it. Be it. Be it.

May we get the hang of total love infused and sent out in our actions,
thoughts and prayers as an ongoing act of peace and love.......

Actually, Australia is one of the lowest vaccination rates. They are only at 15% fully vaccinated vs. close to 70% in many parts of Canada. Their government has relied on its isolation and its travel quarantine and neglected vaccination.

Australia has almost no one vaccinated. I read it was 3%. Australia is a big island. They cut all travel and stamped out the virus. They continued in that manner for a long time. But they did not use the time to vaccinate people, a big mistake.

What happened was that a single case of the delta variant came in with some essential travel person. It spread and they can’t seem to stamp it out. Now they’ve finally begun to vaccinate people. They seem to be in a panic now that they’ve finally begun.

I stand corrected. But Israel was vaccinated and are into further lock down. This experimental drug, all of them have to be that in such quick fashion, and because thus is a new virus. England is going round again along with the US.

Berlin’s largest hospital the Charité has started to vaccinate employees over 60 years and in direct patient care a third time. Germany had started vaccinations in December, so they are well past 6 months now.
Meanwhile, NS health officer has declared that there”isn’t evidence that a third vaccination has any benefits and the vaccinations need to go to third world countries”. Germanys numbers are climbing and school is about to start, so they are a few weeks ahead of us in the infection development.

I will have to look at more info about this later. I don't know why people would not have as severe as an infection if the viral load is the same. I wonder if it's more like the viral load in the upper respiratory tract and not overall body viral load.

One thing that I heard on an interview is that the viral load in the nasal passages is the same initially. They seem to get clobbered down in fully vaccinated people.

I haven't read the article yet. I'm passenger in a truck on the TCH in eastern Manitoba.

I haven't had time to read the full study, but I did look through the methodology. Looks like it's just throat and nasal swabs. Blood samples were taken but for antibody testing, not viral load.
Would be interesting to see sputum, fecal, etc. Viral loads particularly for thst aspect of what was found in the study.

The main point I got from quickly looking at it was for the delta regarding the viral loads, a positive is a positive in terms of potential spread, vaccinated or not.

Personally, I am still concerned about potential long term effects if I were to be infected. The hospitalization data doesn't take that into account. While the minority of hospitalizations and deaths were in those who were fully vaccinated, those are still real people, not just numbers.

If you don't have a good reason to not get vaccinated, and you refuse to follow public health guidelines re masking (the two seem to go hand in hand), then I'm not sure "making many sick" is as descriptive as "asking to get sick"...
