Thanks for the recipe ideas everyone! I'll have to try some of these out for sure!

I think I'd use it, should I be given such a thing, to make satay sauce. Or just on chocolate ice cream.

I'm not familiar with that product. Of course, I wasn't familiar with the Coconut Milk and Peanuts that I found in the fridge when I was cleaning it the other day. Sounded OK so I opened it and dropped some into the wok with the stir fried veggies. It was pretty good. Be creative and try it on something and let us know what it is like!

I was thinking...I'd add finely chopped hot red chillis (those little red ones are very hot - wash hands immediately -a tiny bit, not too much), grated lime rind, a teaspoon or so of lime juice, a couple of crushed / chopped fresh garlic cloves - the sauce I assume has salt and sugar in it already? - stir it up in a bowl and then spread it on chicken breasts and bake. Or probably even better...marinate in this mixture overnight.

Note to self...keep my eyes open for this sauce at the store.

Better yet wear gloves when chopping red hot chillis - they are great to add in tiny quantities but my hands burned for a hour once when I chopped them not realizing! (Or add dried chilli flakes instead)

Not just chilis. Any hot pepper. We use hot yellow peppers, a banana-shaped one, for kung pao chicken and Mrs. M has to wear gloves when she chops them. And, really, they aren't that strong in the end. Once we cook them, I can eat them without problem.

Hot.

If you like hot horseradish, and are tired of buying all those extra hot bottles in grocery stores that disappoint - the answer is Beaverton brand horseradish. Order it, I think they are in Oregon.

I see you can get beaver brand (same stuff) on Amazon.ca.

Guaranteed sinus orgasm. Multiple.
Tears of joy!

Roué aL flush ... phonetically you can blow it out your knows ...

The only thing I've ever burned my hands on is a scotch bonnet; they're fierce. Anything else I cut bare-handed, no problem. BUT, I am extraordinarily careful to keep my hands away from my eyes.

Yuppers, Beaverton is a tiny city nestled in the hills around Portland, Oregon -- which is the city of parades, protests & artists

I love experiencing ego death during the wasabi ritual -- for a brief moment, I cease to exist and am pure experience

Jesus is risen...amen, awoman!

Yeah, I've stupidly burned my eyes before...

I've forgotten that I had cooked with chilis before...and then rubbed my eyes...

@Inannawhimsey , years ago I delivered food for money in the evenings. One of the places that we delivered for was little pizza/wings restaurant. When you picked up from them, and you had a bunch of suicide wings you could pretty well guarantee you were delivering to a bunch of guys who were blasted.
One night, early on in my experience with this place, I was hanging out waiting for an order to be ready. I was chatting to the owner and my hand must have touched the cutting area, then I rubbed my eyes. I instantly went crazy with the sting/pain. The owner was a big guy who knew what the matter was, grabbed a thing of milk, and hauled me into the washroom. Before I knew it, my head was in the sink and my eye was getting a milk bath. Instant relief.

Learning a few lessons that night.

Hah, one night, I was delivering pizza. It was a late order, a big order, and was in a big townhouse complex (not exactly the best area in town).
I knocked on the door. No answer.
I verified the address.
I knocked again. No answer.
I went back used the mic and asked them to call. could hear the phone rigning in the house. No answer.
(This was before cell phones were common).
I could see there had been a party going on.
There were people passed out in the living room.
I opened the door, went in, took the cash, left the pizza and left.
Never got a complaint.
Figured they were all too blasted to remember who if anyone paid for the pizza.

I quit the next day.

Yeah, red shirts indeed.
