It seems the virus has provided a strong diversion and offered means for the implementation of population control. Those who “stand on guard” see such things. The majority prefer not to see them.

believing

Believing is such a troublesome word for me ...

Question Everything Believe Nothing

"There is nothing more certain than the certainty that our perception of reality has been seriously distorted and we do not, and cannot, perceive clearly now."

War and genocide come to mind as something that can only be accomplished by way of group think and the hive mind.

This state of mind is the antithesis of awareness and perspective, of true compassion and empathy, the act of actually transferring yourself emotionally and spiritually into someone else’s shoes rather than simply 'believing' yourself to be in their shoes.

Those who claim they have a flexible mind often have the least and those who worry they don’t have enough flexibility usually have the most. The same applies to those who ‘believe’ they have questioned their beliefs enough and found them sound, and those who continuously question what they believe precisely because there appears to be no doubt.

It's 'just' a face mask.

It is, a simple barrier between you and your neighbour, if you're unable to physically distance.

Unless you have to wear one for a shift, in which case, you have my sympathy, and I will commiserate and compare styles and fabrics with you, and offer you a home-made ear saver.

Otherwise, it's 'just' a face mask, and after arguing that one shouldn't use the word, I ran into a "perfect Karen" at work today. She couldn't keep the mask over her face, because she was suffocating with her asthma (I'm an asthmatic myself; you can 'hear' us when we can't breathe, generally), and she complained bitterly that her upper arms were so exhausted from packing 4 bags of groceries (and I helped her), that she was going home to sleep off her exhaustion...

There is nothing simple about mandating barriers between you and your neighbor ...

'Masks Please' is moving from voluntary to mandatory, with prejudice - meaning ‘official’ enforcement.

As in at the point of a gun, if the ‘authority’ present at the scene of the infraction deems it necessary.

At the very least, there is the implied threat to use significant force if compliance is slow or missing entirely.

That gun on his/her hip is not a non-functioning uniform decoration, but a lethal weapon wielded by the state to compel compliance and obedience.

'Masks Please' is simply a euphemism for Papers Please ...

In other words, if you are out and about doing whatever you feel the need to do, you won't be surprised if at some point you’re pulled over by ‘authorities’, or simply blocked from passing by a roadblock set up and garrisoned by these very same authorities. Of course, they will all be armed and intentionally dangerous and only officially deemed ‘necessary’ travel is sanctioned as acceptable to the 'police state'.

We are witnessing the final implementation the 'police state'. Soon enough everyone will be conditioned to produce ID and travel documents when we are randomly accosted by authorities for any reason, or for no reason at all other than to harass and fear monger. Invasive surveillance is now a forgone conclusion. Like a scene change in a play, the surveillance structures were pre-built and waiting in the wings for the cue to be rolled out.

And all in the name of keeping us safe and contained.

Rita, we do it all the time; it's called clothing. You can't go into the grocery store without shoes or shirt (pants are presumed, interestingly enough); right now, you need a fourth "piece of clothing", a mask. That's it, that's all. Only in the store, not in the parking lot, not while you're walking your dog, your neighbour, your cat; not required at home, while gardening, while running. Just in a store, where you can't distance.

Well, I suppose if your restaurant is a front for a brothel, you might remove a different of your one-two-three-four items. I'm actually currently wearing a hilariously comfortable "onesy" in funky cotton of two fun patterns (sharks and pigs) with funky buttons (life is fun when you have a quilting sibling, lol).

What's a conspiracy? Here's an example of one. FBI calls it a domestic terrorist group... guess what 45th rate 'president' thinks they're wonderful. By the way, this is from Snopes, likely as reliable source of reality as there is.

That explains a lot of your posts ...

Snopes knows that 90% of their readers do not have the patience to read the whole thing and will only read the True/False at the top of the article. This trick is also very common on MSM.

Trump: "The sky is blue."
Snopes: "False. The sky is black at night."
Democrats: "The sky is green."
Snopes: "Mostly true. An aurora borealis can cause the sky to turn green."
Snopes: “Snopes has shady funding and is biased towards establishment democrats - FALSE”

Some people actually have the ability to use critical thinking skills while reading online platforms– and discern for themselves – instead of relying on the work of mom & pop websites like Snopes to do that for us.

At the end of the day, it is clear that before we rush to place fact checking organizations like Snopes in charge of arbitrating what is “truth” we need to have a lot more understanding of how they function internally and much greater transparency into their work.

Where’d you get the above info about Snopes? That’s a good joke. Who made it up?

Ebola virus could’ve done the same but it was contained by cooperation and implementing public health protocol to stop it long before a vaccine was found.

The reason this virus hit the US so hard is Trump’s sloppy leadership, diversion tactics... and he was the original antimasker. He got people thinking wearing a mask was some kind of deception. While he was deceiving them.

Trump couldn't have done so much all alone ...
