Speaking of Canadian elections, here's a fun question...

In what riding do I vote since I don't reside in any riding in Canada?

Anyone know??

OK, let's start here.

I believe in facts. I'm fond of Reuters and AP, Al Jazeera, BBC, CBC, The Guardian, NPR, etc.

If you're going to propose daft conspiracy theories, get better sources than "The Canadian Patriot"...
Well, there is this: truth and facts are true and factual regardless of the media outlet?

Like CNN has promoted some pretty howling lies over the past few years...it wasn't them being CNN who made them lies...

Are there any facts and truth in the video? Esp ones that you and WhyCzar can agree on?

Keep the dialogue going :3 This is good

I believe in you both :3

You might want to look at this investigation into the American University in Moscow and see what you think?
Looks like I did not do enough research on the University in question.

I looked it up and made the mistake of equating it with the International University in Moscow.

Thanks for the heads up.

Does not null and void Matthew Ehret's extensive research history. His books are a testament to that.

He is a conspiracy scientist in his own estimation and he does have a wicked sense of humor - so there's that.

I am not ready to write him off yet but it is certainly understandable that others would.

Please describe to me what is the problem with the WEF. From their about us page, their mission:

The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. It provides a global, impartial and not-for-profit platform for meaningful connection between stakeholders to establish trust, and build initiatives for cooperation and progress.
In a world marked by complex challenges, the World Economic Forum engages political, business, academic, civil society and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. Established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation, it is independent, impartial and not tied to any special interests, upholding the highest standards of governance and moral and intellectual integrity.
At the heart of our mission of improving the state of the world lies the belief in the power of human ingenuity, entrepreneurship, innovation and cooperation. We recognise the need for a forum fostering rigorous and respectful dialogue between and among leaders with different beliefs and viewpoints, where diversity of thought is respected and all voices can be heard. Achieving this mission is made possible by all our stakeholders, who come together to find common ground and seize opportunities for positive change.
The Forum’s commitment on facilitating progress on systemic challenges is taken forward through its 10 Centres, each applying the institution’s unique combination of impact methods to drive holistic efforts. The Centres build communities of purpose essential to addressing large-scale global challenges. Guided by these communities, our centre teams convert ambition into focused action, through structured multi-year initiatives and insight generation.
Together, we continue to strive for a better world, where cooperation and trust lead to lasting progress.

Mongers will not abide with cooperation as they know they can dispute its saleability ... thus the battle mongers on until you get through the storm as if you were sleeping and not WOKE! That's a' word ... not the word as indeterminate does exist out there ... pure uncertainty in the programing! The closer you get to determination the faster it departs ... the Star Chamber Explodes ... look at Trump's container? It is just uncontained thus blowing the constitution; gnos hit!

Yet what people will buy into is something else ...

If agendas are near to the idea of conspiracy, what can one discern from an agenda that is not expressed and out in the Pub?

People are odd in the concept that they believe that they can believe everything as a truth when there is always a shadow if you throw light there ...

These may be set adrift in the room, a space where thoughts are tossed to ... kind 've beyond restricted boundaries set up by censure ... some powers believe they can make boundaries ultimate ... when some ideas are just not so ... they remain mortal; dense, hard, weighty matter ... left behind when the essence goes ...

What's an essence? We have yet to nail that down as nihilism ... neither can be defined as definite but perhaps held Cloes! Seized in time ...

Time is a bumpy erratic domain comprehended as quantum in some space ... questionable? Possibly ... but thinly veiled as understood ... there's this shroud ... mental! Fabrication? Potentially ... alas some are sure of what's only been hinted at ... throu' endogeneity! * spectre of separation ...

Mark Carney will dissolve Parliament and call an election this Sunday.
The election will be set for April 28th or May 5th according to CBC News.

In elections over 50% decide to vote for liars and the rest do not ... does saying and voting for nothing speak to you of something we mist?

Should we reconsider those that do not vote for something as supporting nothing? My grandfather had words for "nothing" ... it continues on considerably ... whereas the polity usually fails away to ... you guest it!

It addled my psyche also ... what people support is threatening! Is it time to depart and add to the delinquency in cosmos?

If you look up at nigh there's no much there ... so people bury themselves in þillows! These swell up buy times ...

Oh sheep, did I post that in the wrong thread? Or did I post it in the Carney thread, which is the other relevant one. But, yeah, this is what people were expecting. I'd prefer April 28th myself. I might be away May 5th (though I would vote in an advanced poll if that was the case).

EDIT: Linking to my post just so my comments on the news are available.

Interesting question. I am sure it has been asked before but maybe the best bet would be to contact Elections Canada and ask them (unless the infor is available somewhere on the webiste):

Thank you Gord. Since I posted that, I've heard from another expat who's told me that Elections Canada considers my riding to be my last place of residence in Canada. In my case, that'd be Etobicoke Centre

Our riding is actually changing as of the next federal election. London North Centre is becoming just London Centre. They are taking the area North of me out of it and into a neighbouring riding and they are moving the southern boundary further South. Or something like that. Bit confusing because the provincial election we just had was based on the old boundaries but I guess since Ontario just uses the Elections Canada ridings, federal elections are what triggers the changes to go into effect and the province follows.

If the biggest threat facing Canada is American tariffs and Crime Minister Carnage believes that he is the only person who can defend Canada against Donald Trump, why did he go to Europe instead of going down to Washington?

This is not the first time it happened in this thread, but the unfair nicknaming of public figures should be avoided, such as in the example cited here. So far as I know, P.M. Carney has not been charged with any crimes, has not caused any carnage or damage. We would suggest restraint in nicknaming any politicians of any party be exercised.

I actually have this weird tendency to think of Pat Carney when I see the name Carney, who of course was (a) a woman and (b) a Progressive Conservative back in the Mulroney era. So not really much similarity to the new PM. Guess spending my youth in that time period (she served in the House and Cabinet from 1980-1988 which corresponds with me being in high school and university) had an impact on me.

Why the purple prose over a nickname of a very powerful political figure?

I mean, they can take any hits we give them; not that it matters to them because we here are a teeny miniscule not important in the Great Power Schemes of the world?

Wyrd.

Carry on, sentients
