And they're off...the election thread

Also, I think legitimate political opinions, not just offensive social errors - given in the past are treated harshly - especially if they go against the current party line. A person should have to clarify their current position - the public needs to know -but people have a right to learn, and often change their minds with experience - but we also don't want to elect automatons who can't think for themselves and never risk speaking their minds.

If people are afraid to run for office because of something potentially stupid that could surface from 5 years ago from facebook - only the dullest, opinionless candidates need apply. And nobody in politics never said anything controversial. Look at Charlie Angus. He's a mouthpiece. Speaks his mind and is often uncooth. But that's him. He should be. I'm glad he takes a stand, even if he turns out to be wrong.

One cannot be cynical of authority ... tell a story they won't understand as vectoring them!

Einstein had a word for powerful vector ... tensors?

Appologies for my soelling

She stated she hadnt heard of Auschwitz until yesterday. Really?

I agree that her mistake was saying she hd never heard of it. . She should have just said. " i made a stupid callous remark and i apologize completely....."

I meant that spell check makes mistakes. It takes our rapid typing and makes it worse. Sometimes. I need to remind myself to check spelling

Perhaps we should un-tooth the spell-chequers thus the toth of free phonetics and looking at how things are spoken in different alien languages in a new light as sources for English redaction ... just to screw up old thoughts because of royal assents ... ass NDs?

After all King James wished the populace to think like hymn ... and he was a sad song as a brute force ... creating some smear in the Brightish history ... that is shadier than most would admit to enter their abstract domain ... brain farts?

So what exactly is Auswich?
Is that actually how the picture was labelled? If so, I'm not blaming her.

Auswich - is a misspelling of Auschwitz. I recognized it immediately - as did Google. Type in Auswich and Google gives Auschwitz.
I didn't see the picture. But I find it hard to believe that people have never heard of Auschwitz (even if it is misspelled). I must ask my daughter and granddaughter. Grandson is only eleven - he may not have heard of it, but Granddaughter is starting university - if she hasn't an inkling, there is something wrong with our education system.

People do not like information attached to ABBA'd Nous ... and thus demand for truth as Go'd Nous even if it is false ... and thus the story goes on with subtle understanding ... it is a sophistry of connection ... often seen as Theosophii!

Miis pelt forms can set the truth into sublime realms ... thus acceptable to those on highs!

Spelling matters for places though.
A picture that may be different from others I've seen before, a different spelling and the context lacks, I can't blame someone for then stating something like sorry, I didn't know what Auswich was. Especially as the word loses some of the culture with the spelling difference.

Is the miss Pelt a hairy cover ... to hide the effects of redaction by authorities that would wish the common folk to be misled?

Misael toe does the same thing ... thus chaos continues ...

Really? That surprises me, a lot. If I hadn't learned it in high school, I learned it in just about every movie or documentary about WW2 Germany and the Holocaust, nevermind post-secondary classes about racism and injustice. It's really bad that she didn't know (I think she fibbed, actually, and she did know). The spelling makes no difference to awareness. People know how it's pronounced. It should be common knowledge. I find it hard to believe that anyone over 12, since WW2, living in the western world, would not know. It's been told about in movies, even, since then. It was the most infamous, horrible, concentration camp. It's a statement about public education, though.

Doing my best at guessing how to say it I wouldn't pronounce Auswich the same as Auschwitz. There are many places with similar names. On a facebook picture, depending on the context my mind wouldn't go to concentration camp immediately.

Is it something to do with mental denial ... I've been told there is no such thing as the mind/soul/psyche ... that is just an abstract ... and God denies such things ... it happens in a pure love incident ... mind-blowing as a brain fart can bring thoughts back. Neuroscientists tell us that smell is a powerful sense ... and you can't see it ... sort of like an abstract on the table ... eliminated from the head space?

Perhaps why some say that intellect is out there ... explicit, or just extroverted construct of the unseen profile, a mire silhouette?

Oh the Shadow of a smil-eh .... :)

Chemgal. I mis typed or my computer auto corrected or whatever. My spelling had nothing to do with the Hamilton NDP candidate.

She did her undergrad in Peace Studies. Her masters in Social work, is a current Hamilton school board trustee.

A friend of hers posted a picture of the fence at the concetration camp while on vacation a few years ago.

The candidate made a stupid penis joke about the looming curve cement posts

When she was "outed" this week, as seems to be happening alot this year, she said "she had never heard of Auschwitz until today"

That is the stupid remark. As Kimmio says, it is hard to be part of this culture and neve have heard of it. Now its possible to have never seen a picture i suppose but the actual camp? Withher undergrad?

The typing error was mine and not part of the issue for her

And i appologize for not reading my post to check.

By the way, has anyone ever done those tests.? A paragraph is posted with no vowels, or numbers added in, or misspelt words. Its quite fascinating how easy it is to read them. Although i think it depends on the individual person. I read them as easily as proper words, hence i am bad at catching mistakes i guess
