It's quite difficult for people who are Russo-philes, or whatever the name is, to contrast the Russia of the composers, the novelists, the playwrights, the dancers, the chess players, and all of the cool iterations they've demo'd over the century, from helping save the day in WW2 to the peaceful dissolution of the U.S.S.R. to the Pussy Riots, to today. War crimes, illegal occupation, targeting of civilians, rape as a tool of war.
 
Imagine this does allow for metaphor ... since you cannot tell the thing about tyrants ... that would be non-virtue! Thus unreality dragons on as a dream ... a human conjecture to overcome what's mentally missing and thus soul out there ... few are aware of the distant far cide and don;t wish to as they might chuckle and draw attention to the self in a pious court!

Can you imagine stone faces in templar mode ... Rush Mores ... trebuchet may assist ... it is a font ... thus scribbled ... to note what we don;t know ... as most publications are questionable ... then the powers won't even read into that! The descent of the unread ... a dark futuristic place ...

How long required for catch-up ... a TU_TU situation whence one has to give it all you've got to lighten up ... then that cheap thought!

Invasions of Hungary and Czechoslovakia

Pogroms under the czars followed by repression against Jews under Communism

Brutal repression of dissidents by secret police under various regimes and names, currently FSB.

Their invasions of Poland and Germany a during WWII followed a similar script, too. We just accepted the latter because Nazis.

Russia has had the contrast between high culture and brutal repression for most of its modern history, in other words.

Putin isn't an aberration. He is a return to business as usual. Yeltsin was the aberration, I would suggest.

I think that is a part of being an adult human being. Trying to come to terms with the various horrors onez country has and is doing with the beautiful the sublime the wonderful the amazing.


Every culture and country I think is like this

Right now, like how you reacted to my post, just shows how...volatile things are. Similar to how antiAsian violence increased in USA mostly by African Americans since the whole Wuhan Virus thing started, hate and disgust etc against Russians is happening as well

We are volatile creatures
Full of passions and deep visceral behaviours, most of which seem to be unconscious

And we are all stressed, globally, and it hasnt let up. So no wonder we other and scapegoat and demonize and become more authoritarian...anything to get back to normal, less chaotic

I advocate everyone to be aware of where their thoughts and feelings come from...and the ideas that come from them...to practice self care...to limit your news watching time...and to try to get out of a rut experience something that isnt part of your belief or a belief you dont hold to...for we are constantly being manipulated by skilled agencies everywhere, not only our own foolish selves

and never forget to laugh
Esp at onez self

I have so far survived the death of my wife. Everything else comparitively is easy peasy lol

I really like this bit :3

A good friend of mine who survived Soviet Russia once told me the problem with Russia is that for most of its existence people have been slaves...punctuated by moments of them being free...which is terrifying, esp since one has always been a slave...


I would still like to visit it someday

Used lightly it can cause retrieval of your pocketbook as in the Lambda effect in political Belief Systems! Folks tune in rigidly and hard ...

Then Lambda has its other side in the beyond ... its yet dark as the inside of sheep ...
 
I am thankful for ideal gardening weather, the unfolding of new flowers almost every day, and for medical tests that offer helpful information.
 
Blossoming booty where semantic may be deposited as if in de void ... reason for brain flush?

Develops after the good, bad, ugly ... then the booty! It starts again ... of course with exceptions ... like numbness! I goes un felt ... if thick-skinned can you can't feel your surroundings ... imagine hard mental cases!

Could be the reason for antipsychiatry psychiatry ... and the process of mind dumps ... depressing for those disliking thought! One has to observe this alternately ...

Imagine bulls in fields of blossoming items ... its canon ...

Today I am thankful for the bananna slug I saw while walking in the park

I like the image on those BBQ

I'm using the name Turtle Island more and more

(I first became aware of our landmasses being much like islands thanks to one of Bucky Fuller's maps which shows the Earth from the North Pole...our continents look like islands surrounded by a vast ocean....changing pov can change one's worldview...)

And I love that the heart of America (no, not USA) is in Cusco, Peru :3
