blackbelt ........ ?????????
I thought my questions were pretty clear and straightforward????
If it is too sensitive for you to answer clearly then simply decline please.

in turn, I though my reply was well laid out and clearly understood , do we , you and I offer each other mutual respect regardless of which side of the fence our belief falls on?

yes or no?

- Hi RitaTG- I could answer your question for you. But would wait and see what blackbelt has to say. In the mean time would you answer a question to you. Why would you ask a Born again that question? As I believe you had said you used to be a Born again.

sure,,,, according to scripture, mans heart is deceitful, we see this acting out in all areas of life not just sex , so for me i look to an objective source to guide me that is external to my heats feelings/desires , this objectivity is Christ/God and His word, so regardless of what i feel, i choose to accept the words of scripture , which is not so good for my heart cuz that makes me not just a sinner but a big sinner . So all I Truly have is His Grace and work on the cross, the rest of the legalities of scripture , I trust that God has dealt with it through Christ, for me and for you.

Now having said that and living currently in a autonomous culture & bout you and I having the same one Father , would you give me the same autonomy I give you or will you revert to an heteronomous culture as soon as you disagree with my answer and dictate for me what I should or must believe as-well ?

The worst thing you could do, is ignore Jesus message and instead witness to a cultural and historical bias. By doing this we can find any scripture to suit our beliefs but it's not Jesus talking.

Many people misinterpret Romans 1:28-32 by only reading verse 32, but read carefully prior to that verse what he is really pointing to.

Paul continues in Romans 2:1-3

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans 2:1-3&version=NIV

Paul is talking to the Jews about hypocritical judgement. They were thinking salvation was theirs because they were circumcised and followed the law and the gentiles did not.

Being gay is not a sin and they should be welcomed in every role within the church.

Because... all Born agains see things in exactly the same way airclean? :ROFLMAO:

blackbelt ......of course yes .... as long as those beliefs are respectfully conveyed

absolutely!

so remember up thread my question to you and your reply , posted here again below

you said :
Inclusion .... quite simple ..... give both sides of the issue and then leave it to the individual to decide.

I said :
its not that simple to not if asked what is your belief as a pastor, church , ect

and here we are , proof that its not so simple , you have asked what is my belief directly , so im answering and in my heart as in your heart I feel the act is a sin and you feel its not a sin so can you and I now both accept as Christians Romans 14 and surrender it to God and love eachother regardless of which side we fall on?

airclean .... I feel no need to ask you those questions ... your answers are rather predictable and of little concern to me other than the damage such views cause to LGBTQ youth in a church with views like yours.
Now ..... I used to be a "Born Again" ??????
So evidently I became a "Unborn Again"????? LOL
Hmmmm ..... your viewpoints are rather perplexing and my relationship with God is my own regardless of your judgments.
I have found blackbelt to be a person that expresses his views in a good and respectful considered manner usually and I enjoy exploring topics with him. I do not find that with you so I usually bypass most of what you post.

Come on now blackbelt ...... how about just answering the questions?
We can explore your reasoning for each answer afterward if you like.....

RitaTG -- The last post blackbelt sent you .I thought was very good. You are right though if asked the true you will hear it.May your day go well.

Good morning Inna,

based on what Rev Steven & Pr jae said,

sin accomplishes a spiritual separation between God and man , The Grace of God who is Jesus bridges the separation

Ok, that's the general reasoning behind sin

But what is the fruit, the purpose, of homosexuality being a sin?

Because it seem rather arbitrary ?

I can grok why things like adultery, sex outside marriage & murder would be considered sins, but why homosexuality?

ok blackbelt ... just to make sure I understand...
The act of a person being in a committed same sex relationship is sin.
The act of a transgender person dressing in clothes other than those of their birth gender is sin.
Is that correct???

I don't see it as the natural order so i would have to say yes

BetteTheRed ------Your quote -----You have not apparently read "East of Eden", where there is a story that outlines three subtly different translations of your underlined words:
1) "Do thou" rule over sin - an instruction
2) "Thou shalt" rule over sin - a predestination
3) "Thou mayest" rule over sin - a choice

I have no idea what you are talking about and why you quoted these -----What does this have to do with what God says to Cain in verse 7

I have not read this book ----

No airclean ... I have never said I "used to be born again"
What I have said is that I used to belong to a conservative evangelical church.
Not the same thing at all....

at the end of these last few days on this thread, The Lord has impressed not just once but many times on my heart this verse

John 21:22 Jesus said to him, "If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!"

if God has called Rita and i know He has, what is that to you or me?
