Oh dear Tabitha. You join our family in dealing with restore work

Nice that youngestson will be there for a few months

Does restoration involve resurrection of some old and past schemes? Dark conspiracies about what should 'ave bin dunne ...

I 'ave a Marie ole sea of thoughts ... damned by the emotionally stuck ... gear seized ...

Hi folks, just checking in.
I have a bad cough and have not been online, as sleep is my #1 priority. Hope you are well and will touch base later.

Take care. We'll hold down the fort while you rest.

There seems to be a real nasty bug around that starts as a simple head cold then morphs into an assortment of nastiness that appears to last something just short of forever. Lots of fluids (green tea with ginseng, local wildflower honey, a splash of fresh organic lemon), healthy food (mixed grains/seeds, multi-coloured vegetables, healthy oils), rest.

And then slap some Vicks on a sock and wrap it around your neck, LOL! Just got over a bug myself and and my mother's remedy seemed to work. Hope you feel better.

It (or something like it) is going through our accounting department at work right now. One off at the end of last week, now she's back and two others are gone. So far, IT has remained untouched but I'm crossing fingers. It is likely only a matter of time.

Five people (out of less than 30) were out sick yesterday from my office. I will be disinfecting doorknobs and public spaces today.

Yes and no.

We are mandated in Ontario to be self-regulating under the RHPA (Regulated Health Professionals Act). The RHPA makes several stipulations which include ensuring continued competence, the establishment of a complaint procedure, and so on. And so on!

But it seemed to me, when I was still practising OT, that our College could be more strident in certain of its interpretations than the Colleges of some of my colleagues.

NS College is thinking about all this, as well. As Carolla mentioned- clinical competency or lack thereof mostly has nothing to do with any written tests. Reminds me of the student we had who was tops in all theory, but had to continously be told what to do in order to learn something practical. Always thought she would end up in research. I haven't met many OT's where I had concerns about their competency, the few I would think of would be ones that have trouble in work attitude and interpersonal and client centeredness. That's nothing you could identify with a theoretical test.

telephones, keyboards and....kids! My husband and I were both down with the flu today. Our grandson had it Sunday night when he crawled into bed with us while his Mom was working. We had my uncle's funeral to plan and attend, and then my husband's 65th birthday. After all that, our bodies relaxed and got sick! Hope everyone else here is on the mend.

The inner works of the human body are said to be loaded with symbiotic material ... some estimate this at 40-50 % depending on the volumes of crap that hang in there as useless and harmful material to the paradigm ... this could include pragma or Pra'da in another condensation ...
