It's sad to me when people rush to get through Christmas, then rush to get it packed away again until the next year. Slow o@ down, you're moving too fast. Find yourself some cobblestones. Why speed through the special celebration of Christ's birth?

It's bad enough that the stores are supposed to display Valentines stock before Christmas and Easter stock after New Year's. We don't get our holidays any more...everything blurs together.

Today is my weekday off (I'm at 80% workload), and although I have an appointment at pre-surgery clinic at 1:30, am hoping to get a few ornaments off the tree beforehand. That, however, would require me relinquishing my tea and my position in LAST, both of which I am enjoying.

Just because tree is up until Epiphany does not mean it is down the day after. My goal is always to have it down by valentines.

Mom and sis started a box of items for the next yard sale - guess what's in it? Nothing that was already sorted for the sale but a bunch of my belongings. I could scream!

And it seems mom just gave sis some of my belongings without letting me know and now sis won't return them cause mom gave them to her. I am so stunned.

Niece and i didn't get all the sorting done but we did get all the yarn sorted onto one shelf and put all of Gramma's old hats (after trying them on of course) on a shelf in my closet.

Or they have until the 19th. Let's not rush the Christmas season when Christmas Day for some is tomorrow! I wish more would have their lights on tonight.

*sigh* My Mom was the LAST one to use my oven. I guess something boiled over. Chemguy turned it on and didn't notice all the smoke venting from the oven. Replaced the thing in the bottom but I'm avoiding the kitchen until the smoke clears more.
We should still be able to have a good Christmas Eve dinner - the oven was only preheating and it wasn't bad enough to make the smoke detector go off.

Don't you hate it when that happens? Always seems to take so long for the smell to go away. Glad it wasn't worse.

I'm just surprised as my Mom tends to be much neater in the kitchen and I know she would be really upset if someone did that to her oven without mentioning it!
I think this will go away pretty quickly, but just with how sensitive I can be I'm avoiding it!
