I've heard it, but haven't paid much attention to the details. What do they mean by restore exactly - just give it back to those who had it previously? Because if they mean to give it to everyone that's many areas that never had it in the first place.I notice all of the opposition parties proposing restoration of door-to-door mail service. I wonder how they plan to do that given that Canada Post is NOT a crown agency under the control of cabinet but a crown corporation with an arms-length board and executive. For them to direct CP on day-to-day operations would violate that arms-length relationship similar to a government trying to direct CBC on what shows to run. It will also be a fiscal boondoggle given that CP has already spent the money to put up the superboxes (at least in the neighbourhoods near me that are affected). The government will likely have to compensate CP for that or see them take a major writedown on the project. IOW, it's an position that plays well but may not end up the way people like even if the opposition does win.

Not a fan of that anyway. If some should get mail delivery to their home and not others it should be based on need, not how old the neighbourhood is.Just restore it to the areas that just lost it. It's really too late for that, too. That horse has left the barn, at least in my part of London.
Puzzling aspect of this campaign is the "outing" of candidates based on past face book posts or other stupid acts.
The latest is an NDP from Hamilton. Now she has a masters of social work and an undergrade in peace studies. Whatever that is. She is a school trustee and made stupid penis joke about a photo from Auswich. The comment was stupid and juvenile. But he explanation is bizaare. She had never heard of Auswich? How can your be 32 and that illinformed?
Butthe other issue is do we want all these things outed?

The Conservative running in my riding seems to be a nice person, probably a good neighbour, a good husband and father - but he is completely controlled by Harper. And there is no way I could consider voting for him.
And Danny is back!
