Doing ok Pinga. Pain is fine it's the annoyance that bending a leg stretches the thigh. It will all be over soon.
Compared to radiation it's really a minimal inconvenience.

Thinking of Pinga and glad that prepared meals are arriving at her door. Anything to make life a bit easier for her and her family during this stressful time.
We've had a couple of crisp clear fall days - my favourite time of year (I told you that I don't do well with heat).
Today is Wednesdaay - so I'm off to the church to feed the hungry. Almost 90 last week - and we expect as many again this week. Everyone will receive a hot meael - about thirty will receive food vouchers and a few non-perishables from the pantry tables. I hope that we have enough cheese whiz to satisfy most. They prefer it over almost everything - peanut butter, boxes of cereal, mayo. The Cheese Whiz gets snapped up. (I don't even have it in my house - I shread and melt cheddar if I want something similar. But then - I usually have cheddar.)

@Seeler I keep meaning to show you this and forget. There's been an episode on Sir Franklin's Cannibals. You can listen online if you don't use anything specific for podcasts.

Curious, is Cheese Whiz popular there in general, or is it just that population that likes it? I do enjoy it for some things, toast as melted cheese just isn't the same and melted and mixed with salsa. Again, cheese just isn't the same, maybe velveta? Haven't bought that before.

I haven't thought of Cheez Whiz for years! Loved it when I was a kid & a student on limited budget. Mmmm ... same with Velveta - a childhood favourite! How times change.

Cheez Whiz and Velveeta taste more like plastic to me than food. I avoid them. My favorite cheese is old cheddar. Mmm, now that's good eating.

I guess I should re-state - "times AND TASTEBUDS change".

When I was a kid, cheese was not a plentiful thing - there were not many types available, and it was quite expensive. It was doled out in small quantities - usually with a bowl of soup & a few crackers for lunch. I do remember that it often used to go mouldy on the outside - my mom would slice all that off & we'd continue eating ... today, I think that's frowned upon.

Definitely cheez whiz with celery pinga!! And velveta for 'cheese dreams' at Sunday lunch. :-)

Have to go with Jae on this one. My wife has convinced me to use low fat old cheddar for health reasons but even that just isn't the same as a good extra old cheddar. Of course, I don't restrict myself to cheddar. Buffalo mozzarella (rare here but common in Italy) is another favorite and while in Switzerland I was enjoying some of the local product (e.g. Emmenthaler).

I just don't see them as the same product! Cheese is a food I would eat on it's own and I usually have a few varieties on hand. Cheez (forgot before, it's not spelled Cheese) Whiz is a condiment.

A condiment that I wouldn't put on my enemy's food let alone mine. :D

I will, however, confess a long standing weakness for processed cheese slices though I now will only eat them when grilled.

Even in grilled cheese - I prefer the old cheddar.

As do I, but there something wonderfully tasty and gooey about Kraft slices when they are grilled on a bun or in a sandwich.
I have to admit - I wouldn't refuse such a sandwich. Especially if served with ketchup and kimchi.
