Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

How many years have you been in the house, Chansen? We were 35. Amazing what you collect.
15. We moved when Carter was about 12 months old. While we were packing for the move he was desperately trying to learn to walk. Every time he pulled himself to standing, I'd leg-sweep him back to his bottom again. We didn't need him running around while we were packing. It was easier to keep him contained as a crawler.

The big problem is we moved from a house with my wife's family's stuff after they passed unexpectedly in the mid-2000s. We never purged properly. Now my parents are trying to consolidate to the cottage and sending items our way. And we can be pack rats ourselves.

We'll get there.

Good morning! Monday has happened. Hope the week is starting off well. Housecleaning is not easy and sometimes not fun, but needs to be done. Hope that process continues as well as possible.
We gather in spirit again around the Coffee Cart, for our daily round of conversing, supporting, and connecting. This happens over coffee and tea, and the baked stuff supplied by the Wonderbaker. This morning, the Wonderbaker has whipped up danishes of several kinds-- cheese, cherry, and other kinds-- fpr us to enjoy. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the pastries are warm from the oven. All is ready, all are welcome! Come join in the fun!

I went on a Jane's Walk yesterday, and learned a little more about a community nearby. There were several of these walks over the weekend, but this was the only one that would fit in my schedule (you know, the schedule of an old lady, retired???). I went with two friends from high school days and it was such a wonderful catch-up. One of the most exciting things one friend learned...a diehard Habs fan....was on one of the streets we toured was the house of Cole Caufield's grandfather, who moved to the States to pursue his own hockey dreams when he aged out in our city. She was practically jumping up and down when she heard of the Canadian, and then the Sault, connection.

Can a nation be bought down ... except for Barney to reconstruct something that the socialist hated in the primary state ... in the pagan beginning as Ad'm until corrected by what fell from the impossible tree?

Is Barnabas a parallel for Barney or just another trashed metaphor like God for "everything" ... the ultimate summation in a spread?

Thus the buttering of the Tan Going ... maybe Dan dipping under the tree? O'Dan can you see? I was once told the demon seize everything ... and then interpret ...

The ghost figures ... feted illustrations ...

Just poking my nose in to report busy-ness. Big guy has recently suffered from volunteer-itis and is in charge of both the Mother's Day Pie Sale and the Family Day breakfast. Needless to say, I have a lot to do. Pretty well escaped the breakfast, although I did a lot of the shopping, But the pies. I've got at least five batches of pastry to make. I need to make 5 doz butter tarts, then I have made filling for 3 apple pies, 2 plum pies, 1 pear. pie, and I have enough apples stashed for another 6-7 pies.

After this comes my plant sale, then vacation bible camp, and in the meantime I weed, weed, weed...and my daughter finished an awesome set of nails for me today.

Good morning! How are we all? Going on a walk with high school friends, being volun-told to provide pies and tarts for a church event, weeding and other ongoing chores, sounds like a few of us will be busy.
We gather round the Coffee Cart for our daily time of conversation, support, and camaraderie with coffee and tea, and baked goods. This morning the Wonderbaker has prepared bear claws for us to enjoy. The tea kettle is whistling, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the bear claws are soft and warm from the bakery. All is ready, everyone is welcome! Come on n and join in the chat!

Then there still is that misty high ground ... a bad climb with old limbs ... but Jesus is there ... he broke off the old branches and moved on ... it was like a blaze through the tangle of twigs ...

Difficult to explain how this came to be without evolution of the stones ... thus the spin! Can misty be played again? It doth fog the mental process as it go'th forward and back at the same time schists ome thing ...

Wow, @BetteTheRed that is a lot!

Finished a wonderful time with family.
Celebrated husband's birthday with son and family.
Girls stayed over as we saw the Hobbit yesterday in Stratford.

What a fun time shared with a good friend and her three grandchildren.

I know how lucky I am.

Naked, or que*Lus in the raw are out there ... and about ... according to altered lettermen in their order ... recall the word is God! Few can see that because of certain blinding sensational wandering of psyche ... a drifting off?

If one has to go they have to go ... if only to experience the darker side of corruption! The corrupt thoughts hate you to look at it ...

5 batches (a batch makes roughly five bottom shells or five dozen small tarts) pastry made, and there's a lot of pie filling in the fridge. Now for assembly. Butter tart making is a sorta separate thing but also planned.

In case anyone thinks I'm mad, I do have a wyrd balance of busy/not busy. When I have to be on, I'm really really on. When I'm not required, I can be really really off, like actively sloth like.

What I wonder about is, that you said
Big guy has recently suffered from volunteer-itis
and all I see is you doing the work…..

It is like a conundrum, or other conflict, between to doing and the thought of such items ... really contentious in some societies!

Let us go and figure this out into the surrounding ... intelligence ... insubstantial stuff that is beyond physical ... like an aura of Marcy! Stormy waters ...

Good morning! Wednesday is here. Between family celebrations and sleepovers, and making pie shells and tart shells, and planning to fill them, it's been quite active here/ Time to take a break and relax around the Coffee Cart with everyone.
We gather in spirit here, for chat, support, and connection, over tea, coffee, and baked goodies from the marvelous Wonderbaker. Today, the baker has provided us with a fresh batch of squares and brownies to enjoy. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is freshbrewed, the squares and brownies arewarm from the bakery. All is ready, everyone s welcome. Come in and join in!

Is gathering in spirit like capturing a phantom as the operetta goes? Secondly what's an Etta? Unknown's like this bother something inside me wishing for something to bounce out of the darkness ... like a stormy Ceil (old word for sky as a diversion that is well out there). No end to it and thus endless predictions ... especially with what's next mile ord? No word for what can be uncovered when all the dirt is set as Ide ... clean sweep? Expect oracles ...

Alternately some may be swept off their fete ... is that sol, singular, plural or unending ... as some say that emotional outbursts (busts) are like that? Some lines blossom and some are straight ... black bloomers? In the night you can't see them ...

You ask me why I sing ... it is mystery at its finest! Everyone together now ... howl! There are those that regress ... and out of the silence?

God knows ... for it is rather quark -eh ... like a living word that creeps some folks out as alien! Many will not read into anything little more everything ... a sticking point? Kind of like Etta converting to Edi^th. This is how we express things without superscript, or hypers crypt ... that is above the average ... abnormal assumptions? Then ED eth of God ... as the word was laid down ... to rest perhaps?

Will something come out of it later? To all plots and plans expect opposition as you cannot make something out of nothing without consumptive reactions ... great drivers like engines in sky turning great wheels ... aht urn in ... there maybe even har poons! Sometimes identifying a funny Monica!

Once encountering the poon ... it is a whole different matter ... then there are tangs and other tangibles ... afar attachments?

So there is this neighbour kid who is almost my other son. One year younger than our daughter, and 18 months older than Carter was.

After Carter came home with the brain injury, this kid was the only boy who continued to play with him. He would put hot wheels cars in Carter's hand and help him play with them. I swore I'd do anything for that kid from that moment on.

His parents split up and the mom had to move to a smaller place, but in the neighborhood. I taught the boy how to ride a bike and how to ski. We've done quite a few things together.

He's a decent student, but really wanted a competitive program at my old university. So immediately I want him to get it, too.

This program admission is heavy on the supplemental app. The cutoff for marks is 85% average, but they reject some 95+ based on the supplemental answers.

He sent through his draft supplemental last Christmas. It...needed work. My wife and I helped him restructure it to read better and convey what he was trying to say. We went back and forth a few times until we thought it was about perfect for him. It wasn't flashy or highbrow. There were no big words. But it was his personality coming through. He even included an anecdote about me teaching him to overcome self doubts, which kinda makes me cry.

I had been following discussion online about admission to this program. Some kid with a 96 average complained to reddit that they were rejected. I was getting down on his chances with a high 80 and rehearsing what to say when he got that email.

He called last night. He got in. I screamed.

The most compassionate kid I know did it.

Sometimes the weirdest things happen counter to protocol! What's protocol ... can it be corrupted? A great power out of nowhere decided to let anything go toe see what happens ... thus storms in the darkest of places ... very much and unknown ... counter to those that declare they know everything. Get my point 'ere? The vast power allowed it ... thus fingers point to there ... and that's how it was ... and it repeats! Like nothing can go wrong, etc.

Who is this joke on ? Sat Ire'd one ... innate dissonance ... mental turn about? Come on now ... and the flutter did ... the moth here effect ... then it left worms, gnats and other bugs in the system ... and a very frustrated expert on viral items ... generating impulsive actions ...

It happened on a stormy, dark knight ...
