17c already today.

Painting continues in house.

Heading to family for Good Friday brunch.

Finished granddaughters cover-ups yesterday for their Easter gifts

16C at the ski hill. Heading out with the daughter for some runs today. Tomorrow seems to be washed out. Sunday is the last day the lifts will spin. The freestyle group is opening the bag jump to staff, so maybe I'll post some bloopers of my attempts to look like I'm still in my 20s. Definitely want to see if I can still do a 360. I've never done a blackflip. I'll be surrounded by freestyle coaches who want me to help them ski better next season. I wonder if they will help me knock that off my bucket list?

Hi, it can be used for over bathing suits when going to or coming home from swimming, or it can be worn as a nightie

I won't suggest I died, but I certainly skied through some terrible snow conditions today for your sins.

More seriously, it's nice having the daughter home for Easter. She's four exams away from being done first year.

Seder dinner down (about 50 people), enjoyed Good Friday service (solo), dinner with a young couple tonight went well, just have to make it through Easter Dinner, and service, and Holy Week is over. And I can start thinking of gardening, and the plant sale.

And I can report on a seriously wonderful dessert. Make a 9" chocolate crumb crust; refrigerate. Make a cooked banana pudding/pie filling. Chill a bit. Put 1/2 thinly sliced banana on crust, drizzle lightly with caramel sauce, cover with 1/2 pudding, repeat layer, drizzlling a little caramel on top. Serve with chocolate whipped cream.

My cat has been waking me regularly between 4 am and 5.30 ( the latter is my regular getting up time during the week). Walking over me and then purring into my face…she’s got hyperthyroidism, so is always hungry…
Today she slept in…but of course, my inner clock woke me and I thought I might have locked her into the back room,so I had to get up. Kind of like when the baby sleeps through the night for the first time and you think it might be dead….
Oh, well, coffee is on…bringing some pancakes with apples and chocochips to the room….

Good morning! Happy Saturday! All sorts of weather going on cross country, family meals and Seders, spring skiing, cover-ups, dessert recipe and pancakes; alot to start our chats, as well as what we dream up this morning. We gather for conversation, support, and camaraderie over tea, coffee, and Belgian waffles from our marvelous Wonderbaker. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is fresh brewed, and waffles are warmed nicely. Everybody is welcome, all is ready. Come join the fun!

Today I do a little cooking for tomorrow’s Easter dinner. It will be simple because of the recovery process. @BetteTheRed ’s cake sounds like it would be a good addition. But I’m making a super easy Jello poke cake. It may be easy but I’ve never made one before. Ham, quiche, bean salad, Mac and cheese, potatoes, hot cross buns not homemade. I have to make Mac and cheese for the grandkids.

Simple to me is ordering in

That doesn't sound simple!

Nothing's simple just look about and what you gather grows definitively opposed ... that opposed winger ... put a tail on it and the pecking order of the bird of paradise ... out there ... squawking in the unseen ... sometimes quite harmoniously ... like Beethoven at midnight ... thunderous roots ... ca*nana*ich?

Trashy words used for cover ... rook ish or Rue kish as the tongue gets twisted in caress with oddities ... Land of Kush? Delicate now ... be humble ...

Sounds lie a handy garment. Lucky kids - mine got a towel!

That is an ambitious meal. Sounds delicious too.
We talked about making a special meal and discovered that neither of us was feeling like making it, Probably thaw out something from the freezer or buy a pizza or something.
I was surprised by a phone call from Home Care who told me to go there tomorrow morning for something or other. Seems like a strange thing to do on Easter morning. Good thing we don't go to church!

Today, I am prepping for tomorrow's dinner. Shopping done, apple pie made, ratatouille made, dishes done, and I'd like to make the tiramisu. Tomorrow, I need to warm/glaze ham, make scalloped potatoes and braIse brussel sprouts, and at some point, find some more dishes; I can currrently only serve 5 max and have 8 coming.

Also acquired a pretty Easter dress and shoes today. Dress would have worked with existing shoe inventory, but then I found a perfect match.

So, the dress is a nice drapey fabric, 3/4 length sleeves, aztec-y pattern in grey, black, red, gold. Pretty shape, criss-cross v-neck, not too plunging, with nice ruched shaping and an interesting hemline/slit. So I have a pair of black strappy stilettos that would work, when I came across a grey coloured toe shading into black heel patent leather with a very pointy toe and about as much heel as I can manage.
