I have seen them (plus beet and parsnip chips) in some grocery stores.Carrot chips, eh. New one on me but I guess they would be healthy if done this way.
I don't grocery shop much anymore. Wife kind of started doing it alone during the pandemic to minimize exposure risk and we've never really gone back to doing joint shopping trips save the odd weekend when we are out and about for other reasons (we sometimes eat out for lunch on weekends).I have seen them (plus beet and parsnip chips) in some grocery stores.
I have heard of people making them in an air fryer. Haven't tried it myself.A friend gave me some store-bought veggie chips to sample once. I didn't find that they had a lot of flavour, but did check to see how easy they were to buy. Niece and I have tried making them in the oven (didn't really work) so I thought I'd give the microwave method a try - worked better, but still didn't really work.
I've had the sweet potato crackers that Costco sells (forget the brand just now) and they are quite good. Haven't had yam chips yet, just sweet potato fries. LAST on sunny but cold day.YAM CHIPS R THE BEST CHIPS MMMMMM

"420ish 15mins or so then broil for two mins but watch closely"
and since you learn by doing, you'll learn how much oil, what oils, what seasonings, etc you like/don't like
