We had a solid 24" or so since yesterday. Thank all the goddes that the big guy had the foresight to call our handy guy on the day after Boxing Day to clear the ice off the end of the driveway and the porch after the day of freezing rain we had. So, at least there was just light fluffy to do. I shovel porch and from there to garage door. He blows the rest.

So I'm officially the lead coach for ski cross now. My daughter and a 19-year-old guy are my fellow coaches. Every day, we pick up one or two new athletes from freestyle or "regular" ski racing. We started Saturday with 15 names, and now we're up to 20. We're racing, jumping and the athletes are improving. Morale is high. During our break today, one new athlete drew my portrait on a chalkboard. That was fun. It may not have been very flattering.

The problem we now have is we don't have the coaching capacity to handle more athletes.

Before the season, they wouldn't let me coach U16 ski racing because a coach with more seniority wanted it, which is fine. I've already poached one of his U16 racers. Today, two of his friends heard about what we're doing and indicated they want to make the same jump.

Oops.

You got the snow I ordered. Sorry about that.

We got a bit here toward Collingwood, but nothing like what Barrie got.

Good morning! Time to rise and shine! Discussions about snow and its removal, Coaches for skiers. No doubt those topics will arise again, as well as others, as we gather again in spirit. We chat over tea, hot chocolate, and coffee in support and solidarity, whilst enjoying work of the Wonderbakery. This morning we have muffins of many kinds to indulge in. The tea water is boiling, the coffee freshbrewed, and muffins warm and aromatic. All is ready, everyone welcome. Come join the fun!

Barrie got hit overnight again. Spare a thought for Bette, please.

The streamers off Georgian Bay clipped us and we got 10cm? Barrie was once again in the middle of the snow belt.

Are snow jobs a conspiracy? Another thing we cannot ID adequately because of some delaying factor ...

Thus latent learning curves ...

Gotta love the gloriously unpredictable lake streamers. We get them coming down off Huron. I can be up to my eyeballs and my help desk manager, who is maybe half an hour tops West of me, has nothing. My technology solutions manager, who lives SE of London, gets less than either of us because the streamers don't usually get down that far.

Waterous drivers ... once a make of feed pumps ... they support pressures! And then they come down like that notorious Roman and red line ... Rubicon? Let us not get into that ... constant tines ... large forks ... going in all directions ... hints!

That made me think of those pictures on facebook of parcels at front doors and the question who’s door that is…
We had a delivery to the door we don't normally use. We spotted the trail through the snowdrifts and checked. wring address. I was about to contact the correct owner when she showed up. She saw the photo and drove around looking for the door!

Wery vise to pick the right doors ... thus the squeeze or crush ... entanglement?

It happens in the dark of night when the strange thing creeps ... there are songs and myths! Eros-hate relations ... to no end!

Hoppy change in the period (of time) ... to everyone ... suppose id'll change anything?

Fat chance given the fixed edifices ... nothing to be further learned about?

Waht cranks ...

The only noticeable changes would be if the world woke up in a Freaky Friday situation where servitude woke up in the systemic body of self-interest.

Our head coach was going off last night's forecast. We had almost a foot. I believed his snow report. I should have looked outside.

I should have looked outside.
Oh yeah. Your eyeballs matter where weather is concerned. The main EC weather station in London is, of course, at the airport. Which is on the far East side of London. My house is on the West side, not the farthest West but definitely West. So the "current conditions" report in the weather app can be quite different from what's outside my window. They can be getting rain while I am in sun. Or I can be in knee-deep snow while they are reporting "light flurries". And so on.

WInter being winter. You are going to clean it off properly? Not be one of those guys driving around with snow from their roof flying all over the place? Though I saw one getting a bit of karma earlier this winter. The snow he left on his roof slid down onto the windshield when he stopped at a red. So he was frantically trying to clear his windshield before the light changed.
