Is a feature something to be taken advantage of ... why? Because I could ... not because it was sensible! Thus the folly as a mortal factor ... limiting in an unconscious manner! Thus the death Ruel in Semitic times ... it is wise to get out! Knobbi idealism of just a Beryl eques ...

This. This is what I've been railing against for years - belief without question.

Trump is surrounded by a protective cocoon of Christian leaders and their followers, who believe, and follow, without question. There is no moral or ethical divide he can cross that would alienate the majority of them. Some will break over the comments, and would vote for him again if they could, and maybe they will get that chance.

People are going to claim this is false Christianity. The MAGA Christians will say the same about liberal Christians. Even the term "MAGA Christian" is redundant. If you're MAGA, you're almost always Christian.

I know some Christians are speaking up, but it's not enough. Christianity could be the hero of this story, but I don't see it happening.
 
"Christianity" as a group can't be the "hero" because it is a blanket term that is very broadly defined. There is no one entity called "Christianity", just hundreds of denominations and millions of people with divergent views. The only defining trait is some kind of allegiance to Jesus as revealed in the New Testament. Once you've proclaimed that, you're a Christian no matter what else you believe. So I think trying to criticize "Christianity" is a mistake because there really is no such entity, it's just a blanket term for those who claim to follow Christ. You really do need to focus on the divergent groups and how each proclaims to follow Christ. And you're right, MAGA, traditionalists, liberals, progressives can all show you how they are "right" and the others are "wrong" but none can actually be claimed to be "Christianity", no matter how hard they try. "Christianity" ceased to be a single, coherent movement within a few centuries of its beginning, long before the even the East-West split.
 
I think the USA is very vulnerable for a major attack right now because of Trump's leadership....he's easy to figure out and his " team" are useless.

However protocol is protocol and it cannot be accepted as gassy ... it must be hard and pious none-the-less! Have you noted the stringency of rule and fire Ruel? Can take the thin stuff right of your Mue-L ...

They are actively being subversively attacked by Russia. And MAGA has been conditioned to ignore those warnings as "fake news".

Trump just listed Fentanyl as a "weapon of mass destruction," which will again be a pretext for war. This time with Venezuela.

On top of everything else, Trump is mentally worse than ever. His dementia is progressing. His handlers get what they want, and they allow Trump his retribution spree, which is all he really wants. Plus the ballroom, which is his little sandbox so he gets to pretend he's a developer again.

Things will get worse before they get better.

Arguably it never really was a single coherent movement, or at least if it was it was only for a couple of years. By the time of Paul we can see different strands developing in the Scripture account (Paul's version appears to have largely won) and that is only a start...

That’s a weird characterization of fentanyl given the context of GWB’s use of those words. But I think we can agree people are dying in droves in cities everywhere - it’s being poisoned/ cut and even the clean stuff is killing people if not given in a monitored setting. Take a drive through a rough part of TO and see the effects. People are being severely disabled by it, and dying from it. Many thousands in Canada. But as a pretext to bomb people in boats with no due process is insane. I just hope it doesn’t become “Fentanyl good/ Trump bad/ Fentanyl bad/ Trump good” because he’s made this declaration because people tend to think that way - they’re for whatever their enemy is against and vice versa. He’s a prime example - probably the most obvious example ever - of that, but in highly politicized times we all do it. They’re both bad situations.

But let’s be honest. He does not care about drug addicts dying.
