Yeah, f*** that cancer, in particular.

I had to read that and my earlier comment today. I initially read it as if you were applying it to a specific cancer. Then I realized it was more "f*** that, cancer." As in take that!

I waa wearing my f*** cancer t-shirt today. The word f*** is spelled in American sign language. Not everyone gets it at first. Usually I'll say what four letter word goes best with the word cancer. They get it.

NW, delighted that numbers are going in the correct direction. That said, feck cancer. I heard terrible news last week. Our minister emeritus, who was minister here for 35 years and one of my favorite people ever, let us know at last week's bible study that he has liver cancer. He's in his late 80s; not going to be a fun final journey, I'm afraid, for one of the kindest, gentlest, most talented artists I've ever met.

In less distressing news, but one that some of you can relate to, i heard our dog bark loudly tonight, and by the time I got to the door to call him in, I realized he had been sprayed by a skunk -- full on in the face.
Poor thing was gagging, and trying to rub his face off.

What followed was an hour of team work with my husband, as we got him on the deck, anchored him, and i gave him treatments, then took him into the shower .

He's now spending the night in the garage.

I learned my lesson from last time, and didn't touch him until after i had removed anything of importance, including my heart monitor halter. (Too bad, as the adrenaline spike and workout, would have shown my heart behaving very well).

Hoping the smell dissipates quickly. He sprayed in the wooded area between our parking area, and the road.

Oh Jayne. Thank goodness your house has a garage. I'm glad we don't have skunks on the island. Our girl would not doubt interact with one. Same goes for porcupines.

Good midweek morning to all! Jet lag from travels, blood test numbers that look encouraging, for the retired minister dealing with liver cancer, dogs and skunks and other critters, and all that will arise today, we gather round the Coffee Cart to straighten it all out, to offer and receive mora support, to continue to connect with each other, over coffee and tea. This morning, the Wonderbakery has provided us with. squares and brownies to enjoy. The coffee is freshbrewed, the tea water is boiling, and the squares nicely arrayed ad tempting. All is ready, all are welcome. Come join the fun!

Just catching up on all the events….busy group! We celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday…I spent time with all 3 kids and 6 grandsons. It was pure joy. Then we did some winterizing at our shore property on Monday, and yard work here on Tuesday. Now I have a couple of church services to prepare for early November. And prep for sorority and book club…might be a computer day. Good morning all….a little shy about finding my way around the kitchen here but I’ll contribute some cranberry squares.

How deep must one read into this before becoming aware there is not bottom line to understanding, or perceiving the pause from this side of corruption?

A worm hole may be prerequisite ... doth the apple of your aye enjoy feeding the worm more than the worm by getting in Tous ET? What? Aye, that's a word also ... words expand in terror to the plastic mind order ... creepers!

What's "ET"? Therein another quandary ... questions abound ... Rah Bit ...

Do authorities learn?

Now there's a question of some indeterminate legitimacy ... only asked when you're out-there ... fringe character? Thus the circle of þ' URN ... gah arp?

In a space said to be open ... a question about cheep products from nations of low labor costs:

Is this a product of hidden offshore Monet?
How did it get hidden and buried ... like obscure artsy?

You'd have to be on the other side of reality to observe it!

Good morning. So far, I'm feeling decent one day post treatment. When I went through chemo 6.5 years ago, the first two days after treatment were decent because I was meds for side effects. I'm hoping those drugs help again this time.

Our crafters start today. I hope to walk f down and participate. It's a slight downhill walk and not far. I'll have a chauffeur for the uphill trek back. I had never noticed that incline until I had a low energy day

Coffee and brownies for breakfast. Perfect.

I plan to go to crafters. I'm feeling the way I did when I got chemo in 2019. I feel effects of the drug. Not bad. Not even close to last time. The side effects drugs are helping. The small dose of a steroid ia giving me a slight energy kick. I'll walk down (literally a slight downhill walk), participate in crafter and get a chauffeur for the ride home. Home is a steep uphill climb. Or feels like it.

This is encouraging and something I can handle.

I walked down to the lounge for crafters this afternoon. The walk was fabulous and far enough. It was the furthest I've walked from the trailer in 3 weeks. It was enjoyable to visit with friends for a couple of hours. Then I got a ride home. It was a great afternoon.

Glad that you enjoyed today. Wishing you a good day tomorrow too.

Good morning! Frosty start to the day here, windshields are frosted over. However, that won't last, as sun rises and temps get higher. Anyway, for crafting, and a nice pleasant walk downhill, and a ride back up the hill; winterizing the shore property and yardwork, all the other stuff from yesterday and new stuff today, all of it comes to the Coffee Cart for discussion. This morning, the Wonderbakery has provided us with muffins of many different sorts. The tea water is boiling, and the coffee is freshbrewed. All is ready, everybody is welcome. Come join the fun!

Tea. Earl Grey. STRONG. Jet lag is my mistress and she packs a mean whip. (Are BDSM metaphors allowed here?)

Good morning. When I left, we were still leaving the thermostat set low and pushing it up as needed. Now we have the usual Fall/Winter programming in.

Here is one of my favourite autumn-themed songs. Melancholy as all hell, esp. if you know the story context, but even on its own, it is a helluva a weeper. It is the song that introduced me to Justin Hayward and through him, to his band The Moody Blues.

Nice song...and, yes, melancholy. I've decided to like Autumn, but I really don't want a 'forever Autumn'. Summer is still my favourite.

I've decided to like Autumn, but I really don't want a 'forever Autumn'.
Here's the story context I mentioned: The song comes from a concept album that is a musical based on H. G. Wells' novel The War of the Worlds. The main character (voice acted on the original album by the late Richard Burton) reaches his girlfriend's home after escaping the initial Martian attack only to find that she and her family have already fled. Cue melancholy Justin Hayward ballad. Spoiler: They are reunited at the end after the Martian attack fails and the refugees return home.

Greetings. I'm a little tired from yesterday's adventures, but still feel decent. My big outing will be to the yarn store to get yarn for another f*** cancer hat. I want to knit one that fits tighter to my head and is in the metastatic breast cancer colours. I also need a needle. Dog and I will take a little walk around the block.

The yarn store is in a great part of the city called The Old City Quarter. It's very quaint and has cool shops.
