That's one thing I must say for our new bins. They will not be blowing anywhere. And the big guy has been informed that garbage and organics bin out and in are his bailiwick; they are too heavy large and awkward for the boarder or I to manage.

Our green bin has wheels so I can roll it if it is too heavy. If I ever replace my garbage can, I'll go that route with it, too, or maybe find an inexpensive hand cart.

Good morning! Vacation planning, weekend events involving grandson's birthday, departure of guests and their five canine companions, high winds advisory, garbage and recycling bins withstanding winds, and all the other stuff that comes up; it all comes with us to the Coffee Cart for discussion, support, and connection. Today our wondrous bakery has supplied us with squares and brownies to indulge in. The coffee is freshbrewed, tea water ready, and squares and brownies warm and soft. All is ready, everyone is welcome. Come join in the chats!

Off to Stratford to see The Winter's Tale today. It's a beautiful drive to Stratford. I look forward to the company and the fall air in addition to the play.
We are so lucky to live close enough to Stratford to go regularly. This year I listened to a friend, and realized that I often wanted to go, but, didn't make time to do so. Buying a membership ensured that I planned, bought tickets early, and got them on my calendar. Thankful that I am in a situation where I can do so.

I'm not sure if I mentioned that with my son being away for the good part of a year, we decided to move my sewing room up out of the office into his room. (It's hardwood floor is much nicer for sewing/cleaning up, and gives my husband the office for an office/gym).

As part of the move, I rediscovered a whole bunch of cutout or almost finished projects. Most were from classes that I had taken. Since I got it setup, I have undertaken to finish those projects. So far I have :
  • sewn 2 fleece lap blankets for my granddaughters from leftover fleece from outfits i made them
  • a 1/2 triangle star pillow (casing was done, needed a pillow and finishing) (class project)
  • an applique pillow (top was done, needed backing & finishing) (class project)
  • patched the butt of my son's jeans
  • hemmed a pair of jeans for me that I had forgotten that I had bought!
  • Bound a pot holder (class project)
  • completed a log cabin square, so now ready to put the three together for a runner (class project)
  • relaid out an applique runner (class project)
  • put a size 4 dress, not made, but cut out, in a pile to give away.
The stash of unfinished projects is going down. I'm trying not to start any new projects until these are done, though, as they go down, the call of a couple of new projects is getting stronger. It does feel good to get those items done and in use.

I have been given a ton of items over the years from folks who know that I sew. I also have purchased large lots from maxsold. Just like any lot, there are the things that you want, and the items that you likely won't ever use.

The MCC thrift store is in New Hamburg, on the way to Stratford, and I have a trunkload to drop off.
  • patterns (boxes & boxes)
  • sewing books
  • thread
  • needlepoint hoops
  • lingerie lace
  • + clothes from my son who cleaned out his closet before he left.

The MCC thrift store has a great crafting area, and things move there. I am sure that these items will end up being used by someone if taken there, instead of going in the landfill.

I'm headed to my favourite quilting store where I take sewing lessons and get guidance. They are having an open house, and I need a 1/2 metre of fabric to finish the one table runner. I'm going to do my best to restrain myself from buying anything more, though, i know there will be bargains a plenty as it is open house day. (shucks, there is often free fabric that I have picked up in the past to make things for Christmas).

I love the colours and the energy.

We received a phone call from a friend yesterday inviting us out to dinner. They came over yesterday afternoon and we had a nice visit. Another couple who @GordW knows, also stopped by. They are on one of their regular visits to the area. They carried on and then the four of us went for dinner. Their treat, which was a pleasant surprise.

Mom is 92 today. Heart is breaking for her though …She has a rash that looks like a burn and is itchy and spreading despite treatment. Cause unknown so treatment might be all wrong. Pure torture for one who doesn’t have a clue about what is going on in her life.

Good morning! Happy Sunday! Donations to MCC, pleasant drive to Stratford, and enjoying a performance, phone call from, and dinner with friends, and celebrating a birthday (though the situation for the celebrant may be less than ideal), and all the things that happen that come to mind, all comes with us to the Coffee Cart. Here we gather again to chat, support, connect, and enjoy hot beverages with delectable baked goodies. Today we have butter tarts, both with and without raisins. The tarts are warm from the bakery, the tea water is boiling, and the coffee is freshbrewed. All things are ready, and everybody is welcome. Come, enjoy the goodies and the company, and join the conversations!

Shingles? Can appear anywhere ( had patients having it in the face).

From recent experience, scabies? More common in nursing homes. There are key indicators, but some over the counter meds disguise the symptoms.

Either way, I do hope that the situation improves

Good Monday morning! A bit chilly in this area this morning. Concerns about painful things like shingles or scabies, and what can be done about it' as well as other thoughts that come to us, it all comes with us to the Coffee Cart in the Room. Here we find a safe place to discuss, to support, and to connect over tea, coffee, and cherries jubilee from the bakery. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is freshbrewed, and the jubilee is delightfully warm for a chilly morning. All is ready, everyone is welcome. Come in and enjoy!

Good morning folks.

Our neighbours popped in with an apple crisp from local apples. I'll add it to the table. Hope you enjoy.

Do shingles deteriorate and bare the shrine ... and the empty portion moves along as in another string Slaughterhouse 5!

The sixth comes forth grab it, it may save some life ... but avoisd excess ... know when enough is enough ... Harold the Bloom ...

Yes shingles have been ruled out as it circles her neck, is spreading down her chest and above her hairline. We’re wondering if it is a fungal infection. Trying a new cream today.

Has she started any new medications recently?

Don't forget sepsis and the attention that should be given to the car of dirt with great washes ... except when the authority itself fouled the clear stream ... route of the Sept ... 7 directions leading to hate or h-eigh ... end of the great tunnel of time ... worm hole or arch space, dome? Is there a reciprocal dome as a cup to contain de stellates ... that's down under in the reflective organ ... one in and the other extant ... its how life goes with ups and downs ... and Charles awaits igniting ... imagine those Charlies under the canopy in Vietnam ... why such a war ... God? Just delusion about a gain ... so all is lost ... PTSD ...

Always someone loosing it because of monarchial, mercenaries, holding the cards of rules and Ruel (old Semitic word for fire rule); caution to be taken? Resemble Pharisees ... flighty waters ... and people crying in the rain ... C-loveis like that ...

My volunteer journey with the local hospital is back in gear. Changes were made as the records check system is running months behind, and so, after starting process it was held up awaiting that. The hospital has extended the waiver to match the backlog in waivers being done for rural areas covered by OPP.

Looking forward to being able to give back.
