I'm up a few times in the night. The dog usually looks at me and just lays down unless it is after 5am, then he follows me to be let out. He has a few places that he sprawls out so I know to go around him even in the dark.

Last night, he was in an odd spot. Curled up tight with his back to the furniture. Didn't budge when I got up even at 5am

My spouse asked if I heard the dogs barking last night. I didn't, but I am guessing Tracker did. It wasn't the sound of coyotes yipping or howling, rather like a pack of dogs barking.

Tracker at 6 finally went out, but had to be encouraged off the stoop and was the quickest pee on record. He must have still sensed them nearby

Field (Whal) affect that in psyche terms is a function of an aura-like device ... like rings on a circulating item ... Moe in ... as an Ayre in place ... observing unconsciously? There are those that do not believe in an unconscious factor of the mind like a con*science! It varies with proximity.

Anybody here read Gail Sheehy's tome on proxemics? It gets one close to the theory of relations and relativity and the chemistry thereof ... very broad-based comprehension is prerequisite ... no stonewalled literary devices ... read through them ...

Considering the observational skills ... give it everything you 've got before the pall rises ... j'oust? I can't oust the thing alone ... so it may not hold up!

Today is a celebration for the life of a woman who died of ovarian cancer and few months ago. The family and close friends decided to have a party of sorts. It's an outdoor gathering with a champagne toast to her at 3 pm. I'm hoping to go. I'll see how I feel as I get moving. Friday was treatment day.

I just saw some beautiful photos of a beautiful baby and her Oma on FB. Oma is one of our community members.

The wildfire has grown more to a still unknown size as a large part of the firemen had to retreat due to high winds. It has jumped barriers and more people had to evacuate today. I am probably about 70 km away. My son, who is 30 km closer had red clouds with ashes falling down on him. The cloud has drifted over the mountain away from me, but it seems to come my way now and it smells like someones camp fire. It’s been over two weeks now and for tomorrow we are only getting 5 mm rain. I guess the hope is for the next storm to come with heavy rain…
We had a lovely day at the park yesterday with a busy puppy who was getting all dirty from the dust she was laying in and a cute little baby. We visited the demonstration of a canoe build out of birch bark. The builder said that in old days, he could harvest the bark from one tree and the tree would grow it back just fine. Now he can’t do it anymore, the tree dies if you take too much and a lot of trees also are diseased. He might even have to get his bark from New Brunswick.

The water in lake and river is so low and not moving that it is full of leeches. So we did not go swimming.

Good morning! For dogs' habits and early morning behavior, celebrations of life, champagne toasts, growing wildfires, canoes built, and trees not being able to grow back bark, active puppies and cute babies, for all the other things that come to mind, we bring it with us to the Coffee Cart to sort it out, to offer and receive moral support, and to indulge in coffee, tea, and some goodies. Today we have bagels, with assorted spreads and toppings, to enjoy. The tea water is ready, coffee freshbrewed, and bagels toasted to your liking. All is ready, all are welcome. Come in and share in the conversations!

Yeah, much more to my liking now than the hot stuff. Unfortunately, there's a chance of showers moving in for the afternoon so possibly no walk today. We'll see.

We're having a heat spell here in the west. It was nice yesterday for a backyard celebration of the life of a cancer buddy who died a few months ago. It was a good way to remember her.

Today will be a, lazy day.

Hopefully you'll get some remnants from Hurricane Erin? for some much needed rain!

Heating up here. Just decided to go for a picnic so I thawed out some Cornish pasties and packed some fruit.

Our evening meal will be simple- grandson caught fish yesterday and brought some to us. There are leftover spuds in the fridge and frozen veggies. Easy peasy.

I had a great interaction with a hospital booking clerk. My doctor wanted my scans moved up to this week. The clerk was juggling. One option would have meant I was double booked to have treatment while I was in the scan machine. At any rate, she found a spot on Wednesday that works great. These clerks are busier than anything and are always friendly. It feels like they have all the time in the world. Which they don't. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to these scans, but it's better to know than not know. Prayers and good vibes welcomed.

Now that's how a medical booking should work. Sounds like that office found a good one. And vibes sent. As you say, better to know than not know... (at least with your healthcare, not sure that applies everywhere).

Erin had gone by with wind only, making the fire grow from about 3000hectar to now estimated over 5000.
Fernand is our hope if he comes with heavy rains. Right now, we have light showers that are supposed to get a bit heavier at night. That will hopefully at least reduce some of the risk of cigarette butts starten additional fires.

That is a hard adage to live by "better to know..". I appreciate your wisdom and outlook

Outlook is one thing I can control. Mostly. I could make it worse for myself by resisting and such. I'd rather this be as smooth as possible.

Sounds like that office found a good one.

Anyone I've talked to in medical imaging booking at that hospital is great. The same applies to the clerks you see, and the techs.

I find the ones around here to be more of a mixed bag but maybe I have high standards after 26 years in healthcare working for a company with fairly high expectations for how we treat patients.

Correction- just under 8000 hectar. Some homes are lost.
