Off to town today to get bloodwork done then a pedicure. It's starting out sunny and is expected to be hot today. Sadly, there's a fire about a half hour or so drive from here. A fire in that same spot closed the road and cut off Port Alberni two years ago.
 
Our air quality tanked again today. Smoke from out West they are saying. 5 and could go to a 7 they say (10 is worst).
 
I get a teacher’s pension….only part of one as I didn’t work enough years for a full one. I worked in libraries for some of my working life. My pension gets deposited the last day of the month….usually in the morning. It’s afternoon and still no deposit. I tried calling the office and keep getting the message that they are all in meetings. Gulp. What could this mean?
 
Ugh. Hope you get that sorted. Direct deposits are usually automated though someone has to approve the batch for it to be released. So maybe someone missed a click doing the approval or something? Hopefully, it's just a technical glitch and some geek like me is fixing it as we speak.

One thing I am kind of glad of it's that I'm in a defined contribution plan. Once I retire, the money just goes into a RRIF/LIF, same as an RRSP would, and I can control the payout. Avoids situations like that and also keeps our pensions out of the hands of creditors if the company runs into problems (since it's basically a glorified RRSP).
 
It’s interesting how we manage our finances. I always keep one month’s worth of pay as a backup in case of emergency. I was starting to think this month was the emergency if I didn’t get my pension deposit.
 
I wish my nail tech wasn't my extraordinarily busy daughter. Nails are desperate; fingers are missing three with two more snapped short, toes are hopeless...

Oh, and the air is yuck yuck yuck here today. Happy for inhaler.

Can things like this go through a mind that is eliminating in nature? Deposed psyche ... is a potential ... to be retrieved in space by the classic complex that's out there ... Sophia?

Then there are those hard on the spot ... pin point of a turn about ... can a hard mortal alter? I expect doubts ... Thomas are you Sainted?

There's an anniversary here tomorrow ... 56 allowing for parallel (11?) that's one beside the other if a bit light overhead is spread about ...

Dispels the mystery on the spot ... others can't accept it ... so some of us remain questioning ... in essence so much to gather!

I'll be happy to remove a heart monitor that I've had on for 3 days. Nothing big and bulky but the tape is itchy. I have a silly reaction to tape that i neglected to mention.

Had the most bizarre dream last night of immigration to another planet. So bizarre.

Was pleasantly surprised by youngest son getting a weekend pass and coming home for the weekend.

Temperature here is delightfully cool - 13 this morning
