In the real world where pummel your friends, family and neighbor is the rule ... can peace overcome? That's Salam, Salaam (sometimes selah in ancient tongues) that might get trans mutated in writ (script) to salient and Mute as a dead lamb of the ultimate ... Black Light? In what the dead left us for a message ... a lot of chaos can be expected in life ...

But who'd believe with all the delightful rackets going on under the label gute? Cheezy ... like the virtues of mortals ... what I gather from an innate position ... as they haven't let me examine much in this lifetime of all that is like that wind in the date palmed on me ... Timaeus?

It's not over yet is it ... still a lot of racket ... even at 4 degrees absolute!
 
Gregor didn’t do that well on housing in Vancouver, or anything much, as far as I recall. Mayor Moonbeam approved backyard chicken coops and a few bike lines that the newest mayor is less supportive of. What else?…can’t remember. People just swooned over his looks. Vancouver Mayors of the past decade and 1/2 like to favour rich investors - there’s some misguided idea that nobody but the rich need to live in Vancouver.

Carney has no minister for disabled peoples’ issues and no minister for democratic institutions - and no budget. Something smells. Sorry to Carney fans. If he adequately addresses those concerns, then consider me as having retracted this criticism. But right now, not feeling good about these things.

Carney is off to Italy for the Pope's inaugural mass. He's RC so it will be a big occasion for him. He will have some meetings while he's there, including with Italian PM Meloni. Noticed that Arielle Kayabaga from London (MP for London West) is there. She was in his first Cabinet but got dropped from the new one so not sure what capacity she is in. She'd be great for immigration and refugee. She's been a refugee herself (her family fled Burundi when she was 11) and worked in settling refugees before going into politics.
 
It is like broken heart schools ... some say there is no heart in mortal states so how can you break it ... Salaam! The Gob hits ... like the prodigal matter you don't know ... must be distasteful crap ...

Alas those in high spots cannot see the depth of the bother being devised by brute power! It was unheard ... rather muted ... transmuted or mogrified with the "G" just mor yfied ... and dealt with on Tuesdays ... few grasp ... as intended! Beta day of the week ...
 
Maybe it was a token minister anyway? Have they ever had an actual disability minister with a disability? Has the disability minister ever influenced anything? With regards to housing, it does not look like it. Neither with regards to financial support.
 
If it has to do with economy is quite different to deal with than if it is to do with humanity ... thus ectoplasm! Why? The question incarnates without reason ... because we are mostly an irrational people ... there are certain qualities to cultivate that cannot be numbered ... with implications, etc. Difficult eh ...

Yes, Carla Qualtrough was a former Paralympian. She did pass some bills but I wouldn’t be surprised if hers was somewhat of a token. Still, she was a government representative for a broad range of concerns that affect many disabled people across the country. Without a dedicated person in cabinet to speak on them or to speak to, they won’t get any attention.

Actually, there was an interview with a disability representative on CBC this morning who said that there were disability right laws 10 years in the making ( but not finished yet). Shame on Canada that it’s been taking so long.

There are some folk that do not believe in the latent drag persona ... it just follows like shadows of doubt. If you never did something before advance with caution.

I once red where someone said to go slow with the stab of love because the faster you go the deeper the scar when it departs ... almost like love is fey and fickle! Then something else follows ... hard to explain ... it's mysterious! Unquestionably so ... but yet those that wish to nail it down may sow the wrong idea. Set it free ... it may hold all else together ...

That’s probably referring to the Canada Disability Act, much like the ADA signed into US law in the 90s. It covers all federally regulated programs and services (so, like Carney’s new housing plan for instance - under the CDA if the new builds are federal they should have to be accessible. But how do we hold them accountable without a ministry tasked with oversight and implementation of the CDA?) The CDA won’t be fully implemented until 2040. That was one of Qualtrough’s “achievements”.

When newly appointed Elon Musk cut DEI there was an outcry. In Canada, when our ministry responsible for these issues is cut, there’s barely a mention of it because the country has Carney fever, so relieved to see someone so much less dramatic in personality, they aren’t seeing what he’s doing. I fear it’s the same thing, just done quietly. Especially worrisome for disabled people.
 
Here's the big difference, I think. Musk and Trump aren't just cutting DEI in the federal government, they are effectively trying to ban it with their threats against corporations and educational institutions who implement it. If Carney was, for instance, actively refusing to fund research at universities that have DEI programs, that would be more analogous to the US situation and would likely get a louder outcry, too.
