CARNEY - Some people think......... How do you feel?

Tomorrow is the big day. Carney announces his cabinet and they get sworn in. Some speculation about what cabinet might look like:

Basically, a core cabinet that's smaller than Trudeau's, but then an outer circle of ministers of state. Apparently, Carney saw a similar structure in use when he was working in the UK.

There's also discussion about possible candidates for the PMO chief of staff.

The huge question: how many will be impressed, how many stupefied and how many were already stunned by what it took to get where we're at?

Does anyone know? That was the point someone was trying to generate many years ago ... through the philosophy of lost knowledge! The only ONE that gains is the ONE that a bit out there ... BPD?

It is shocking when the 1st person gets beyond themself ... repercussions are incidental also! ... RAM ... data's random as thought ... as something exiting a Wahl as exceptional ... listen to them in this old hous ... may be the aire ... it even shifts the sans as if there is nothing out there ... resolved the essence!

Can avarice in folks be an abstract ... like near no clues when you contemplate how everyone has to work some to survive our impact on nature? Its artificial to accept some BS! Because it has to be converted to vegetation ... through a process that could cause vert Ego! That's like ET ... with boobs and a lot of blundering about because of what we didn't know ...

The movement amuses the Gods ... they believe somethings up ... right DOC? Remains to be seen ... wait for it ... persistence now ... iron narcissi? Like Molly with Glock ... duck or you're gone ... and we all sing how're things in Glock amora? Shot ...

If asked have a good story about the non sense encountered ... they say it is a no fault incident ... just is!

Why? Because of what wasn't ... this no one imagined as abstract ... absolutely! Head stuff ...

If events prove the authorities wrong ... would this be critical to something?

Is crisis ultimate ... given all the wrongs perpetuated in avoidance of empiric? Thus non-reversibility of many fabrications and myths ... once told its done ...

Are there implications due to complexity that is overlooked? We seem to be imperfect in this matter ... thus the imperfection of many matters ... so much is just mindless matter ...

It is an experience observing it from the outlanders aspect ... because ... I was closed out of the former circle ... rigid enlightenment courses? Some lunge into these ... an abstraction?

Disability as an area of focus was cut completely out. Appalling given the recent UN report that highlighted many areas where Canada is failing. I don’t even know which of the ministries it could’ve been folded into to address concerns. What does the recently approved Canada Disabilities Act that’s supposed to be implemented by 2040 (!!) fall under? Or did it just fall through the cracks? Slipped past us. Erased us, is more like it.

Sean Fraser, Minister of Justice, maybe?

I can see roles for a number of these cabinet portfolios really, depending on which aspect of disability your are focusing on. Justice for rights issues. Health for healthcare issues. Government Transformation, even, for bringing the government more into line with the needs of the disabled. What is needed is a minister or secretary level position just for disability who can pull all those strands together. One for LGBTQ+ affairs would be nice, too, that could pull together all the strands of their issues. But the Conservatives would be crying "Woke!" over that one, maybe the disability one, too.

Sean Fraser, I looked him up, voted ‘yea’ on Bill C7 expansion even for mental illness, They are breaking international law and our own human rights commitments and ignoring Canada’s Human Rights Commission - this is not a little hiccup. It’s an increasingly dangerous situation for a lot of people. So I hope he speaks to the UN report and changes course! The court will decide first I guess.

All the human rights groups have a common thread that is disability - it is the largest human rights group in the country, because disability crosses all demographics. All are at greater risk from Bill C7 expansion, due to higher levels of poverty, housing insecurity and systemic discrimination especially when they are members of more than one group. Indigenous people, LGBTQ+ people, women and seniors - which there are designated ministries for - are at greater risk, as is pointedly discussed in the UN report. Since disabled people are the largest group, diffusing responsibility throughout the government without a main ministry as a point-of-contact, makes the problems - any that pertain to disabled people - harder to pin down and focus on. I would not be at all surprised if that’s deliberate. I don’t know that it is, just saying, I wouldn’t be surprised.

No budget this year. At least that's what Finance Minister Champagne seemed to indicate after this morning's cabinet meeting. They'll focus on having things ready for a Fall economic statement. Not sure I like that but given the tight timelines before summer recess, I guess that's reality. Hopefully, we will have some fiscal measures in the throne speech on May 27, at least.

No budget this year.

That’s quite a strategy coming from a guy like Carney.

He is supposed to be a Financial Wizard and he can’t even present a budget?

I suppose if you've got no budget to begin with, you can never be over-budget.

Pre election Carney -- "we’re in the biggest crisis that we’ve ever faced"

Post election Carney --"Na, we don’t need a budget, we’re good"

Canada has been without a functional Parliament since October 2024.

But Politicians will need a summer holiday after working 20 business days - May 26 through June 20?

Canadian Parliament Dates:

• Foreign Interference gridlock October 2024 through January 2025
• Trump wins US election November 06, 2025 - tariffs are on the table.
• Trudeau prorogues Parliament January 06 through March 24, 2025
• Parliament closes for the federal election March 23 through April 28, 2025
• Carney visits Trump at the White House May 06, 2025.
• Parliament reopens May 26, 2025
• Parliament closes for summer recess June 20, 2025
• Parliament reopens September 15, 2025

Good thing Ontario voted for a “brilliant economist” to run their country.

Good thing they all still got raises.

Good thing the King is coming to straighten this all out!
