Not likely. Rick Moranis took a break from acting while he was a single parent in the 90s (his wife died in 1991) and has never really come back. He has done some voice acting and was supposed to come back for a reboot of the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids series but the project never got completed. Not even sure what Dave Thomas is up to.

(Trivia: Apparently, one of Moranis' classmates in school was Canadian rock legend Geddy Lee of Rush)

I've been frustrated by people responding as if this was a normal presidential candidate. Journalists who wanted to be fair and impartial. Leaders who thought they could negotiate with a crazed president who has a severe personality disorder and who is on a revenge mission fueled by rage. I've been frustrated by voters who believed his crap. Young men are apparently enamoured by him. It's not just the old folks.

Young men are enamoured by him because of people like Jordan Peterson and his books and tours and lectures for Turning Points USA (far right campus young people) and appearances with Joe Rogan - a show which Elon has been a guest on several times… smoking a spliff and mocking progressives, making it all seem like a joke, or a counter cultural movement, and entertainment that appeals to immature white men who felt their privilege and power diminishing as more people wanted equality. And all the other right wing YouTube dweebs who followed suit and did their utmost to generate grievances against all other civil rights groups. With JP as their father knows best figure. I think JP is a duplicitous a**hole - he’s not working for the good guys. His move out of Canada to the US was probably planned. He’s now an ex-pat.

That’s why I think Trump has the support of young, mostly white, right wing men. Propaganda. The long con. Scapegoating minorities.

And Steve Bannon started all this about 10 years ago, before Trump’s first run. He knew he could leverage “entertainment” on the internet, to reach young men, and empower Trump, make him a feudal king. So he rallied the troll troops. It was quite deliberate.

i dunno; the way things are going. Trump re re elected, RFK J. promoting vaccine, Canadians actually liking and even being openly patriotic...nothing surprises me anymore much

Trump declared earlier that he might not help defend any state bordering Russia from an invasion. Germany, France, the UK, and Poland are capable of jointly resisting Russia. France and the UK have sufficient nuclear weapons to deter Russia from using them.

Trump started abandoning Europe first.

The US has not supported NATO to protect Europe. It supported NATO to contain Russia.

In NORAD, the US was and is focused on limiting any Russian attack to Canadian airspace.
