I wouldn't say that demand drives the prices; however, it is an opportunity for hospitals to make money.
There is likely a price point that people will no longer pay for parking.
Some families buy the one-day or one -week ticket, and then hand them off as people come & go from the hospital. Folks figure out ways.
others get dropped off as Bette did.

so, have we talked this one to death ? I get that you were challenged @Jaebius . I would say, that you are in part right.
We have, I believe, for sure. And thank you for saying that Jayne

Thank you for being such a good sport, Jaebius and demonstrating it

And now I see that it isn't only me regarding Northwind; she has changed in regards to others here as well

Ah well. Life goes on. Into the breach. More life! Spread the joy and such and whatnot

ps. ty Jayne for continuing to play the role that Mendalla is good at. Your reason is well met here

And now I see that it isn't only me regarding Northwind; she has changed in regards to others here as well

Seriously?

I have a low tolerance for people who make flippant comments about serious things such as residential schools or possible dictatorships. I do not like getting told to act in certain ways through mansplaining. I have always been like that.

Do not tell me to smile or whatever. Do not mansplain.

As you were.

So I am correct, though, in saying that the parking fees are expensive because of the demand for them. Oh, and please note that in my post #36,204 I said in response to Bette that something "might at least in part" be the case. I was careful about the way that I worded that.

Economics has gotten to be far more important than empathy ... it is an unwritten law ... so many folk no longer consider thinking about the consequences!

In the greatest of men ... consequences do not exist ... until the entire integral concern collapses thoughtless lye ... laid out! Another political extreme without medium or mediation! If you dispose of rationale ... it gets insanely irrational very abruptly. Just look about at what's happening in our sphere ...

Sound economic policies, Luce, must integrate both rational analysis and compassionate considerations. By doing so, we'll create a more balanced approach to economic growth.

When we neglect the human aspect, we risk creating systems that are unjust. Irrationality leads to unforeseen consequences that harm society.

No, No, No ... you've been diverted by the econo*mist that in their own little cloud have become unfeeling ... it is only the numbers that count. Although many declare Numbers a hard read ... too convoluted and sophisticated for the normal citizen and how they've been hammered into industrial shapes ...

It is part of the communal creep ... ancient oligarchs said they would work it from the inside ... greed of the Czars and Caesars remains ... drink up ... it is normal in reality ... beyond that ... OBI's? Dream on if you believe you can control avarice ... mysteriously ... it had to go somewhere ... trumps everything even God with the help of Franklin ... sophisticated philosophy!

The really pious say philosophy is evil ... I've received that directive ... if you process it, mentally, be subtle ... check with Lou!

Good morning! Appointments, other stuff, and extended (likely overly extended) discussion about parking at hospitals. We bring it to the Coffee Cart with us to talk over, whilst we drink tea and coffee, and indulge in banana bread this morning. The coffee is fresh, of course; tea water close to boiling. The banana bread is still warm from the oven. Everything is ready, everybody welcome. Come join in the conversations!

Luce, numbers and data must never overshadow the human aspect.

Economics is about improving the well-being of everyone, Luce. We must find a balance between rationality and empathy, ensuring that our decisions benefit whole societies

Is osteopathy a bone-like central issue to mind-body medication? Thus skeletons in closets ... for dissembling articles ... they must be broken up for digestion ... bone breakers?

Remember what's in human! Often overlooked as that brutal urge to overcome and thus we rise only to ... dis Sen tis defined ...

Every Millenia or so the hole word system alters ... few notice ... as they pay no attention to vast stretches of word! Powers are good at straining the myths ... for advantage ... B' rating humanity is the game ... performed by those in the games of mind without empathy (that's no feeling)! Go figure that out ...

The word bates em on and thus the sky hook ... but never admitted to as it is Ærie (Dark Greek and slippery). That's the word ... in vast continuum of alter ration ...

It’s fascinating, Luce, to reflect on this cycle of change. Humanity carries within it that raw energy to overcome, though it feels like we’re rising and falling within the same patterns. The shifts in the global system reveal an unchanging core of creativity.

Yet, Luce, these transitions are wrapped in myths that serve the powers of the time.

Where do we find the clues to where we’re headed next?

Generally they are beyond us ... and many will not suffer the stretch ... they fear NDE ... as looking wisdom in the face is a shrouded event ... like a scene from Ben Hur ...

Could life really be described as insane given the impositions by blind leadership? There are those that cannot envision charity although they swear on that book ... vanity?

Then the word devote is said in the Lexus to mean commit, or curse ... a vanity in interspersed communication?

I suspect we are the vanity of all vanities ... in that world that looks in from beyond! Isn't that kind of out-there? Thus BPD as a fringe SKITZ! Dead wringer ...

It happens ... may leave you feeling drained ...

When I went for coffee with friends yesterday, I bought a slice of what they said was banana bread. It turned out to be a spice cake. It was tasty. It wasn't banana bread.

Thanks for this banana bread.
