On another note, I recently decided to chuck the calcium supplements and get my daily requirement through diet.

It isn't terribly difficult if you don't mind drinking milk and can tolerate it. A surprising benefit of milk (even skim) is that it is very filling.

Haven't drunk milk in years but still eat cheese regularly without issue so I can probably still tolerate dairy. That said, the Chinese diet is noted for having other sources of calcium than dairy and osteoporosis is actually less common there than here, or so I am told by people who should know. So probably if I just keep eating Mrs. M's cooking, I'll be fine on that front. :giggle:

What I miss most about dairy is the calories. I am still losing weight, because nothing replaces the fairly vast quantity of butter, cheese, cream and yogurt that used to comprise a lot of my diet.

Is there a definition for normal or the paradigm given all the lack of knowledge about what is yet beyond mortal limits?

Is the concept f idealism of Jesus in that class given how the idea was prodigal (wasteland given the raging pyres)? Jesus made some authorities very angry ...

It's a rainy day here with rainfall warnings for a couple days. The term "atmospheric river" has been used. Had anyone heard that term before the Lower Mainland of BC was flooded?

My friend was scheduled for MAID yesterday. I can only assume the deed was done. No updates yet. This disease suckeths mightily.

I don't plan to do much today. That book didn't get read yesterday. Maybe today. It will be a hibernating day because I'm not far from cranky. Yes, I'm ignoring one person. That will continue because I won't be nice and that doesn't need to be seen here.

I hope everyone is well.

Certainly I have only heard it in recent years. Not sure if that was the first time or not but could have been. Perhaps it was around in climate/weather circles but in popular usage, it's very new.

Good morning all. Got up a bit late, hastily picked up daughter and took her to the big guys' to work, then ate the breakfast he'd made for us, did the dishes and returned home to start some laundry before I go to work at 1. And I am fighting with the bank and they are winning....*sigh*

My first time hearing it now.

I imagine the world isn't very good at responding to someone who has lost a friend to MAID. I know of a family which didn't have a funeral for the gentleman because they couldn't figure out the protocol to follow.

Nothing wrong with a hibernating day.

Ignore is helpful if our buttons are getting pushed. In the long run though, scrolling past the irritating posts is proving to be the best strategy for me. And I don't open threads started by the annoying one(s).

I hope everyone is well.
Only my usual complaints. :)

Sorry to hear you are in an unpleasant space right now. Typically you are also considerate enough to let us know how it is with you today. Everyone gets a bit cranky on occasion., seems to be a part of being human. Sending calming thoughts your way.

I fully agree. You have to though, get to a point where you can just scroll past. In the meantime, not seeing is the best option

Tell me about it. I think that's part of why the guy I snapped at at work was so taken aback. I'm known for being pretty "chill" as the kids say so me going off like that was rather out of character (at least in that setting, I rant to friends and family from time to time). But, yeah, cranky ape happens.

I get it. Cranky wind happens more frequently lately. The wind has less tolerance for BS and stupidity too. My mother always said I didn't suffer fools........ I suffer fools less now.
That's one of the things that makes ape cranky, too, but I'm also a bit of a natural cynic so the stupid has to really burn or impact me seriously for me to really fly off the handle. Often I just roll my eyes and move on.

Does pain of learning make Christians cranky ... or just biased about their BS? Thus bricked up structures ... folk just are not allowed to flow freely through this institutions of religion ... monet will solve their blindness ... resolution by currency?

Some old salty sage once said that intelligence goes down in the strong man menu ... thus gentile Hebrew ... not Judean! Isn't that like Samis ... Sam you well? He was left in a dark space adjacent to Eli ... the space where the light was maintained ... sacred?

I have scrolled on, rolled my eyes, thought 'what a fool' and sworn at the person's words on the screen. At least the latter doesn't cause harm to anyone while allowing me to blow off steam.

Thus bypassing ...

Can this pass as a function of being not aware? Thus ignoring spreads ... and the powers find it an enigma ... they cannot resolve it ... disposal of all encompassing care and concern ... forms mortals as limited beans ... difficult to educate broadly ...

Tough to accept ...
