weight loss

I've been on a medication for 2 weeks and have lost a few pounds - maybe 2 or 3, I can feel it - normally this class of meds, which I have tried before, makes me gain weight but my appetite is less on this one over the past 2 weeks. I am not in danger of being too skinny quite yet if ever! I got to be about 20 lbs too heavy for my liking (i don't check the scale just my jeans!). Probably eating too much bread and pasta - cheap fillers - which I collect and my husband burns off.

My whole family is like that - has a tendency to be slightly overweight if not careful. I have never one to be too thin - except maybe at one point in my life.

My husband is naturally thin and when he got sick he really looked skinny but he's starting to put it back on, as I lose some. Strange dynamic.

this tickled my science bone

when ya get rid of that excess baggage, where does it go?

some people decided to try to find out the actual amounts of what

and according to them, most of it is breathed out as co2

the rest becomes water; here's the link

OK today was my judgement day-weigh in for the work challenge.
I have lost 5% of my body weight and 10 cm around my waist. (smaller losses on other body measurements.)
I'm pleased and this is not the end for me as I continue this shrinking journey.

Excellent. Keep going.

Tabitha, so pleased to hear of your progress and achievements . . . the "shrinking journey" is not an easy way, so continued encouraging thoughts are with you. One day at a time . . .

Glad that you are on a journey of making yourself the healthiest you can be through food choices and exericse.

Weekly weigh in - Pi Day, 2015 - 215.6 pounds.

That's an increase since last week of 1.4 pounds! Even though I'm on a 1270 calorie diet to lose 2 pounds per week. Something wrong with that math.

Yesterday I made the mistake of having lunch at the major fast food chicken conglomerate. All I had was a chicken burger , small fries , small coleslaw, about 1/8 of a small gravy, and 1/2 of a medium cola. 991 calories!

Muscle also weighs more than fat jae so if you are adding any muscle your weight can go up.
Thanks Graywolf. I'm going to wait until I'm in the normal weight range, though, before I start working on building muscle. Right now I'm focusing on losing fat. I am doing some walking for cardio/calorie reasons.

Hmmmfff.............tried to join MyFotness Pal and spent most of an hour trying to find a username that wasn't already claimed. Not favourably impressed. For now I admit defeat!

Update - March 21 - 214 pounds. Obese.

@KayTheCurler You just have to be creative. Try your town with a number after it or an obscure historical name again with a number or how about
your first school with a number or Ilovetocurl6?
