False Religions... thwart discovering knowledge of True Religion?

Time marches on, we either let go when we're supposed to or we get dragged along. Every new age is a challenge to the old age, and today we are still living on the cusp of two ages, it's no different than in the time of Jesus. Like new wine in new bottles, the old must give way.

the most excellent prismatic spray, 7th level spell

upon casting this spell, 7 rays of coloured light leap from the vancian's fingers
any object or entity within the area of effect has to immediately play one game of twister to find out the effect(s) they have to suffer, based on the colour of the ray

Malachite -- sell all your money, give away all your possessions, live off of air & sunshine
Scarlet -- you just stop giving a damn anymore
Lapis Lazuli -- all impossible actions become possible & all your exploits immediately become local legend
Ochre -- become rubbery and gain ability to split into smaller selves & climb walls & Lurk -- you smell like a very good vindaloo
Dun -- squint a lot, clothing of choice becomes ponchos, your movement becomes quantized (teleport)
Indigo Girl -- everyone around you becomes an anarchist while you remain the same
Lavender -- sunlight hurts you, you can sense the infra & ultra violet & all your actions & words are profound, if obscure

some lucky ones might be struck by two rays, which means that two games of twister must be played

and so it goes

sorry for my magpie jackanape mind

anyhew, keep it up :3 the esoteric IS such because it 'is' esoteric --

shine on, shine on

If nothing more vegetate ... and observe the world go by as if you were experienced a vision ... science in Allah gory ... plasma-like humour ... tres vite! And the tree of logos can contain somnolent souls vegetating in the system of roots ... where said words derive from ... or perhaps deviate out of ... thus were beyond the book.

Ah, Lapis Lazuli is my favourite stone and ray! This also is the "Lapis Excillis," the coveted "Philosopher's Stone" of some of the Grail Legends, sometimes denoted by a circle within a circle.:)

Or a spot in the circle if this is a thought that the emotional would like to withdraw from ... as ancient druid? The wise people of Erse attempted to recess from the English ... but the King James was absconded with as ... the 1st or 6th and no one could figure ... it did however give a point of turnaround ... resilient backsplash? There is a weird loop denoted by the Greek small gamma ... defines the dark energetic loops of eD'm-ism ... belief in lesser entities!

Small busts and blasts can be explosive ...

Some say god is "everything" to them ... but perhaps limited perspective ... as they often eliminate the thinking deviate ... who is beyond emotional ... sort of like myth ... or icon of something else again ... heirogly fix?

Could you ogly that?

How's this for a future religion, one that's based on science and psychology. It's a bit of a hard read but worth the time to grasp what's being said here.
“The question anent initiation is one that is coming more and more before the public. Before many centuries pass the old mysteries will be restored, and an inner body will exist in the Church—the Church of the period, of which the nucleus is already forming—wherein the first initiation will become exoteric, in this sense only, that the taking of the first initiation will, before so very long, be the most sacred ceremony of the Church, performed exoterically as one of the mysteries given at stated periods, attended by those concerned. It will also hold a similar place in the ritual of the Masons. At this ceremony those ready for the first initiation will be publicly admitted to the Lodge by one of its members, authorised to do so by the great Hierophant Himself.

The word Initiation comes from two Latin words, in, into; and ire, to go; therefore, the making of a beginning, or the entrance into something. It posits, in its widest sense, in the case we are studying, an entrance into the spiritual life, or into a fresh stage in that life. It is the first step, and the succeeding steps, upon the Path of Holiness. Literally, therefore, a man who has taken the first initiation is one who has taken the first step into the spiritual kingdom, having passed out of the definitely human kingdom into the superhuman. Just as he passed out of the animal kingdom into the human at individualisation, so he has entered upon the life of the spirit, and for the first time has the right to be called a "spiritual man" in the technical significance of the word. He is entering upon the fifth or final stage in our present fivefold evolution. Having groped his way through the Hall of Ignorance during many ages, and having gone to school in the Hall of Learning, he is now entering into the university, or the Hall of Wisdom. When he has passed through that school he will graduate with his degree as a Master of Compassion.”

NEO,

Did you ever read Why God Won't Go Away? It is a neurological puzzle about cyclic events in the eD'mistic events of reality ... based mostly on what comes out of cholesterol ... or fat heads that don't work well until initiated on real emotional straight liners ...

Then of course one has to relate cholesterol with the fatty acids that make up noodles ... or new railing tissue ... if well done will stick to the great Wahl ...

I could say this straight out but some authority says "truth hurts" and thus common people shouldn't know ... thus the Dan's ...

No, I've never read this book but I like the title. How could God ever "go away" when we live and breathe and have our being within It's being?

Authored by Andrew Newberg, the late Eugene D'Aquille and Vince Rause on neuroscience (observation of neural actions?). Some don't encounter this it appears! It is like disassociation process of isolation theory ... when intelligence is separated from emotions? The one has the problem of deafferentiation or being isolated from the physical senses ... sort of like a poor soul being dumped into the pits ... or even a Jaqobean Well or a depression in reality. Some would call this an out of the emotional body incident that would run parallel to those running outside the intellectual domain.

These neuroscientists claim the difference between mystic experience and delusion a thin red line and thus perhaps we have that bloody trace of human history in which it appears authority has learned little ... as encountered in a flash of internal insight as indicated by several mystics that seen to have fallen off their normal horse to get a flash ... when encountering bottom line ...

Bloody awe sum ... what?

Somewhat likened to an OBI!

Without an outside perspective can one tell whether they are delusional or just having a mystic experience?

Perhaps an X-Pan sieving of data in the larger field than poor isolated peoples can stretch to ... cos Mosis? You know Os Mosis ... and the separation of auld salts from the pool? Peđe can do that ... pedantry as the learning Wend? Sort of like a curve in the abstract ....

Actually, one can't tell. Not unless one can objectively verify the truthfulness of a mystical experience.

Like all experience, mystical experience is subjective. To test whether the subjective experience matches objective reality, we test it empirically. The most reliable test is the scientific method. So, unless or until the truth of a mystical experience stands up to the rigors of scientific testing, it could be delusional.

I think the truth of a mystical experience is in how it feels. Mystics of all cultures and belief systems, and even those who lack religious beliefs, report having experienced universal unity, unitive love, and feelings of holy awe in their mystical experiences. Meditators report having experienced the same in their meditative states.

I think mystical is a "mythnomer." Judging from my mystical experiences and my thinking, in a so-called "mystical" experience we experience reality as it really is, not as we think it is. What could be truer that that?

But -- because reality, as it really is, is in a state of unity or synthesis, which is antithetical to analysis, we can't figure it out analytically. But we can and do experience it in the pure, unconceptualized experience.

We must bear in mind, however, that only the pure experience in itself is absolutely true. What we think about it is not, unless it is scientifically verified, and even then it is not absolutely true but as close as we can come to absolute truth.

That's it! Absolutely! ;)
