Good morning! Despite rejection and evil we're still here! Coffee is fresh, tea water is hot, come on in and join in.

Almost ready to leave the Rossport campground of Lower Rainbow Falls Provincial Park on our way to Ignace, ON as we head west. The heat done in the US is making its way into Western Ontario with temperatures close to 30 forecast for the next few days.

Yep, our respite from summer is ending as of today. London forecast is 29 today, then low 30s for the next three days, breaking on Thursday.

Just did a Google for that park and, wow, you're way out there. We haven't been up to Superior yet (hey, I was almost 60 before I even got to the Bruce Peninsula, these things take time :giggle: ).

Been nursing one of my headaches but it is fading. Still might wait until tomorrow to get the mower out. It's not urgent yet anyhow.

Rossport is a gorgeous area of the country. What a trip. We have planned a stop in Ignace on our last couple trips because we like Davy Lake campground.

Have a great trip.

Denial, rejection and elimination is the only thing that will get us through ... where we're at as a learning experience; painful for those not wishing to know beta ... can you list examples? Its an exam ... thus open hearts and psyches required ... as compared to pious, firmly closed situations ... abyss? There, that experience ... draining as some folks swamping's ... spooky as that witch Maria in la Veaux ... all awash?

Someone stated we should avoid fear ... and the metaphors are extreme ... it too is a' noid ... by Leer?

LOL, so I am sitting in my home office which has a window open due to the warm weather. There's a stupid wasp carrying a dead bug of some kind to, presumably, its nest and it keeps colliding with the window, the screen, etc. Not sure if the bug is too big so it can't fly straight or if it just got its pilot's license out of a Cheerios box. We actually had to clear up the mess one of these wasps made over another window a while back. There were literally dozens of bug husks on top of the window when we opened it for the first time this spring. I looked it up and it is a species that is not dangerous to humans, though it is a good size to looks plenty scary to this wasp-o-phobe.

I wonder if these things actually work.

Our former neighbours had a bunch of wasps. They put something like that up. Apparently it helped. I understand it looks like a wasp nest. A rival nest.

I've just made some banana blueberry muffins. They're still warm. Help yourself. I've also topped up the tea pot.

We just needed power and we got a tiny site next to the summer showers. B is not impressed. I took a short swim in the lake. Could have swum longer but got tired too quickly after the long drive. Superior was too cold for me to try swimming at Rossport Campground, though I waded in as far as my knees. It was, apparently, warmer a couple of days earlier before the wind came up and blew cold water toward that shore. We have been exchanging Christmas letters with a person who lives close to the campground on Lakeshore Road for 12 years and was a friend of B's mother. We visited them after having lunch at the campground. We found out she became a friend of B's mother when they met at a TOPS retreat someplace in Ontario. One of her goals is to volunteer at the Calgary Stampede.
Tomorrow we drive, hopefully, to a campground on the edge of Winnipeg. It will be our longest drive probably for the whole trip. I did not expect it to be difficult to get a campsite on Labour Day Monday, and was hoping to not need to drive quite so far. Reach Alberta, hopefully, on Thursday.

I remember stopping at Rossport when we travelled regularly between the Sault and Fort Frances. I'm sorry @jimkenney12 that I didn't arrange to say hi when you went through the Sault. Others from here have travelled this way too and I haven't been able to work in a visit. I'm officially changing my priorities right now...so if any of you come this way, let me know!

Was this at Davy Lake? We were near the middle of the park last time. Our dog loved it. We could open the door and let her zoom to the lake (we got the blessing of the campground folks first) She LOVED it.

Good morning! Happy Labour Day! Camping trips, fading headaches, wasps and ways to deter them, learning opportunities, and all the other stuff that comes up, we bring to the Coffee Cart, where we gather in friendship and conversation, and hot beverages. The coffee is ready, tea water is boiling, muffins are available as well. C'mon by and join the fun!

Cartier's OHM like Home but more difficult as isolated Ju Wells ... deep ole thing ... Jacob EON! Time gentlemen ...

Happy Labour Day. My labour today is of the sit-down variety. Mom turns 90 on Thursday, and we're having a family meal at a restaurant on Friday. Our gift to her is a 'memory' book, showing some of the people and places that have been important to her in her life. I am to organize the book and provide the notation. I haven't had a block of time until today to get at it. So...trip down memory lane for me too. (Gosh I was cute as a baby!)

We're getting ready to pack up to move to another campground tomorrow morning. We'll get everything ready tonight, hook up the truck then roll out first thing.

But first, a book.
